| Answer: | https://support.apple.com/kb/sp620?locale=en_US The specs list SATA drives. If it is running SATA III you will get full speed from this drive (most likely since SATAIII is very old tech already). If it is a SATA II interface you will get roughly half (i think) the speed, but it should still work as long as you transfer the OS properly. As far as physically fitting into the unit, this size is pretty much standard and should fit. |

| Answer: | If you do not have a windows 10 disk / CD to start fresh with a brand new image of windows 10 from the manufacturer to place the windows 10 image to the new hp ssd, then the only other method is to transfer the files from he old HP SSD to the new one after the install or before the instsall. The problem will be that what ever you do not wish to transfer over to the new ssd will also be transfered to the new ssd. Go to youtube and watch some videos on how to install a different Hard Drive in your laptop or computer or the device you wish to apply the new ssd hard drive into. You tube is or can be very educational. Your old hp ssd probably does have the old image of the system you wish to put on the new drive but a fresh start will always be better. You can also save the old hp ssd as an external hard drive and hook it up to the new ssd by usb to accesses files if you need to do so. Again, you can watch you tube for other advice or go to other websites to examine videos created by other people to see how they put a new hard drive into their systems. |

| Answer: | yes. if the laptop in question was purchased within the last 10-12 years and the current hard disk drive is a SATA drive, it should fit without a problem. the only thing you will have to deal with is the fact that the ssd will be slimmer than the hard drive so you will have to fiddle a little bit. |

| Answer: | Here is my answer to HP's SSD's. THEY SUCK! I am sorry I am being so belligerent here, but I have tried their SSD's on customer's laptops (both being HP's) and both times I have been met with the same experience. The HP / SSD drives DO NOT have any software support for provisional trimming of the drive, for increasing drive performance, and they ultimately locked up on both the systems, I have installed them in. I suggest the "Samsung 860 Evo" to all of my customers, who want to beef up their laptops. I have tried Crucial, Kingston, OCZ, HP, ADATA, and SP (Silicon Power) SSD's in many laptops. The number one performer, for ANY laptop, has been the Samsung 850/860 EVOS. Samsung has the best software interface and transfer software of all of them. I also suggest OCZ, as my second pick, but their software is not as interface compliant. The rest just fall flat short of expectation, altogether. Bottom line. Samsung 860 EVO 512 Gig is the best for everyday laptops. I have installed them in HP's, Dells, Acers, Gateways, and others. I have ran tests on all and have received the same performance specs across the board, which is an 80 to 90% increase in startup, shut down and read/write capability, with Samsung. Hope this helps. | Answer: | The description says, "Backed by a 5-year warranty from reseller." Enterprise drives rarely if ever carry a transferable manufacturer's warranty. They are sold in bulk and "down the line" purchasers are usually SOL with regard to manufacturer support of any kind. With regard to reseller warranties, ask yourself, "Do I feel lucky." Having said that, I own two of these. IMHO, Honda automobiles and Intel enterprise drives are typically worth more without a warranty than are some of their competitor's fully warrantied products. |
