2 best usb 3 hard drives

USB 3 hard drives, also known as USB 3.0 hard drives, are external storage devices that utilize the USB 3.0 interface for connecting to computers and other compatible devices. These hard drives offer several advantages over their predecessors, such as USB 2.0 drives, in terms of data transfer speed and performance. Here's what you should know about USB 3 hard drives:

  1. External Hard Drives: USB 3 hard drives are a type of external hard drive. They are compact, portable storage devices that provide additional storage capacity for computers, laptops, gaming consoles, and other devices. They are often used for data backup, file storage, and data transfer.

  2. Data Storage: USB 3 hard drives come in various storage capacities, ranging from a few hundred gigabytes (GB) to multiple terabytes (TB). Users can choose a drive size that suits their storage needs, whether for basic file storage or as a backup solution for large amounts of data.

  3. Computers Accessories: These hard drives are considered computer accessories because they enhance a computer's storage capabilities. They can be connected to a computer's USB port to provide additional storage space or to back up important files.

  4. Electronics: While primarily used with computers, USB 3 hard drives can also be connected to other compatible electronics, such as smart TVs, gaming consoles, and media players, to expand storage capacity and access stored media or files.

  5. USB 3.0 Interface: The key feature of USB 3 hard drives is their USB 3.0 interface. USB 3.0 offers significantly faster data transfer speeds compared to USB 2.0. This means that data can be transferred to and from the drive much more quickly, which is especially important for large files or backups.

  6. Backward Compatibility: USB 3.0 hard drives are typically backward compatible with USB 2.0 ports, although data transfer speeds will be limited to the slower USB 2.0 speeds when connected to such ports. To fully benefit from the faster transfer speeds, it's best to connect the drive to a USB 3.0 or later port.

  7. Power Source: Many USB 3 hard drives are bus-powered, meaning they draw power from the USB connection itself and do not require an external power source. This makes them highly portable and easy to use on the go.

In summary, USB 3 hard drives are external storage devices that use the USB 3.0 interface for faster data transfer and are compatible with a wide range of devices. They are commonly used for data storage, backup, and expanding the storage capacity of computers and other electronics.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with the power adapter
Answer: Yes ma'am that is exactly why I bought this cable to transfer from hard drive to hard drive (20gb to 150gb) for the same Xbox 360. this is exactly what you are looking for :) merry Christmas
Question: Is this compatabible with the ps
Answer: Sure, you have to connect the new drive to the Xbox 360, then you turn on the console, and the assitant appears after login, then the assistant itself guides you in this operation is very easy. One thing the process erases the content of the old disk.
Question: Will this work with a system that only has USB2.0 ports
Answer: usualy the PG read out should be between 100ms and 500ms. the PG being 70 means that the power good signal is being broadcast every 70ms if all the voltages are good the PSU should in theory still be suitable for use. the PG delay tells the computer that the power supply is still functioning properly at certain intervals and helps the emergency shutoff circuitry that is built in to motherboards to know when the powersupply has gone bad.
Question: which one is better? elements 8tb or my book 8tb
Answer: In other words, it does NOT support testing Watts.
