Answer:	The USB Forum is confusing as hell. Are you ready? Okay: USB 3.0 is SuperSpeed, which would make it too easy to determine which USB is which, so of course they don't use that name. So it's called 3.0, except now it's not. 3.0 and 3.1 gen 1 are the same thing, same speed and all (5gbps). Then you have USB 3.1 gen 2. It's a genuine upgrade over gen 1 speed, but PSYCH! Name swap again! Now 3.1 is 3.2 gen 1, and 3.2 gen 2, and now there is a new one called 3.2 gen 2 by 2! It's maddening! Anyway, in summary, yes this drive is USB 3.0, or 3.1 gen 1, or 3.2 gen 1, whichever you wanna call it.

Answer:	We have ours mounted on the ceiling of our family room, and we sit right under it while watching movies. I have exceptional hearing, so I can hear it if I am listening for it, but it's not loud enough to be obtrusive. My mother is a bit hard of hearing, so she doesn't notice the fan at all.

Answer:	I don't remember seeing a name on the harddrive, but easy to install, had no problems with it i needed it to play gra5, had many other games saved on Playstation internal memory. Once installed it prompted me me to move internal memory to hard drive. I did, works great. Took 3 min to put together and install. I'll check again for a name, but it worked great so I didn't care for name I looked for quality.

Does the following corrupt yor data makes you repair it every time you use storage device (also makes ps4 slow) or if ps4 is asleep and u wake it up will give error and have to restart ps4 (freezes or extremely slow) and finally either if you shut it off or put it to sleep will tell you you need to reformat storage device (sometimes), but if you restart ps4 it will go away just repair it
