Answer:	No. Apple began soldering SSDs to the logic board beginning in 2016. Although, it would work in either an external Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C enclosure. Cost will be relevant to the type of enclosure used regarding its throughput capability.

Answer:	I can confirm, have two working in RAID 0 as a boot drive with a fresh install of Windows 10. No issues, followed some YouTube videos for the recommended setting to get RAID working. Since I'm using a motherboard with Intel RST, a driver was needed to identify the drives during Windows install but I was aware of this ahead of the time and had the drivers pre-loaded on my USB install media. I love the Elements drive, in my experience it is much better than either the My Book or the Seagate 8TB which I also own.
