Answer:	I also asked this question. I bought the case because I was told that 'Yes', the case does support the automatic wake-up sleep function. I learned that the wake-up function is a setting for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 (2020 model) which I set prior to the receiving my new case / cover. When I lift the new cover about a quarter to 3/8 inches (btw. 5mm - 8mm), the tablet wakes up and stays "awake" until I close the cover so much that I cannot see it go to sleep. However, I can see it "wake up." Also, when my new Tab A7 is asleep (purchased new for Christmas 2020), it will last for several days on a full charge. I use it briefly every morning. After 3 or 4 days the battery is still over 60%. Although this is because the batter is new, it proves that the cover does what it says it will do.

Question:	Is the magnet on the auto wake/sleep function safe to use on my fire tablet
Answer:	I have the same kind of cover (with a magnet) on my 5th generation 10" Kindle with never a problem. It's designed to put the kindle to sleep when you close the cover. I bought it again when I bought the 7th generation 10" kindle and it does the same thing and is safe, as far as I can tell.
Question:	Does this work if you want to stand the Fire vertically? I only see it in horizontal mode
Answer:	no and that really sucks. I wish they would do an origami case like the one for my 8.9 - works both ways really well.
Question:	Why are there different answers to the question "are the speakers blocked when the case is used in the horizontal position? Either it is or it isn't
Answer:	The case features cutouts for the speakers. The speakers are not covered (or blocked) at all when the cover of the case is open, our closed. When the stand feature of the case is being used in the more upright position the speakers point down, toward the surface off whatever the tablet is set on. When the stand is being used in the " typing" position the speakers point away from the user.
Question:	When used in horizontal mode are speakers blocked by the case enough to make a difference
Answer:	if you have this in horizontal mode, the case bends back and the speakers are directed straight into the surface the kindle is resting on. totally useless - a complete design flaw.
