Answer:	It’s definitely comfortable in your lap. Not sure about the MacBook Air (because I don’t use a Mac) but there are symbols and a touch pad and things i know nothing about so maybe it is like a MacBook Air.

Answer:	Since the iPad is still vulnerable along the edges if dropped, I am also still looking for a skin that is compatible with the magic & smart keyboards. But I believe since the iPad is connected to both keyboards magnetically, it’ll be challenging in finding one that can be used w/ the keyboards & to use the magnet connection. It’d be great if Apple would develop “edge guards” that could be used while the iPad is all attached to the keyboards & compatible with With the magnet. Answer:	Not really bright sunlight washes out the display on all backlit displays like the Fire HD 8 just like on a Samsung Galaxy Tab or iPad.
Question:	is there a case for this product? i can only find for m10 which is not the same product, highly confusing naming convention btw
Answer:	It does have a mic built in so you can use the hands free Alexa feature. So it could be used for dictation, assuming you can find an app on the Amazon app store that will do that. I don't think it comes with any app pre-loaded for dictation.
Question:	I read in a review that cant play hd..,so..,anybody knows if i can see netflix & movies & music
Answer:	Definitely not, nor will many other companies that don't have profit margins that can absorb the cost of doing so. As others have pointed out, China dominates in small electronics manufacturing because all the infrastructure is in place to a better extent than almost anywhere else. Small electronics manufacturing has not been done on a large scale in the US in many decades, so to manufacture anything like a Fire tablet here in the US would require that infrastructure to be re-created on a large scale. This would cost billions. Could Amazon do it? Sure. Could they do it and sell this product at it's current price? No. To manufacture this product here and sell it at a profit would mean it would cost north of $300, maybe more. Lots of people talk about buying American, but when confronted with the realities of what it would cost, they shut up and buy imported products. Most people simply forget that most consumer electronic products have around a 50-100% gross profit margin built in, to cover marketing, overhead, sales, etc. The simple fact is that labor in China is $1-3 per hour for skilled assemblers. Insurance and worker's comp cost in China are basically $0, because their government covers that. Worker costs in the US are easily $30-40 an hour and up when you factor in benefits, even for relatively low-paying work like assembly. It's always kind of amusing when I see people sneer at how lazy Americans are and how people "just won't work"...but then when you aske them would they do the work for that money, the answer is always no.
Question:	Is there a size limit for a micro SD card for expanding storage
Answer:	What has a lot to do with perceived speed is the speed of the storage, amount of RAM, in addition to the quad core (four cores) processors. Both the HD8 and the HD+ have quad core processors. The only difference in comparing the 8+ and the 8 is the RAM. The HD8 + has 3GB RAM, the HD8 2GB. 30% more RAM in the HD8+! The top line HD10 has full HD AND an eight core processor but it also has only 2 GB of RAM. Simple answer the HD8+ because of the extra RAM will be faster. Wireless charging creates a lot more heat and I don't wirelessly charge my phone anymore because of that. Heat is the enemy of solid state components inside as well as the battery. MY choice would be the 8+ for the RAM, or the HD10 for the Octa core processor if speed is the main issue, and you want full HD. I don't know why they haven't upped the RAM on the HD10 as well. Both have USB C which is to me preferable to the old Micro USB that has to be inserted one way only. The USB C works any way you plug it in.wireless charging for battery life.

Answer:	Officially, 1TB. In regards to current prices/market: 1TB costs above $200, and 2TB is not available for purchase yet. Most economical high capacity would be a 400GB card. 512GB can be had for a little more. When higher than 1TB is available, it might work? But most likely has NOT been tested, hence the official 1TB “limit”.
Question:	Is this tablet compatible with magnetic auto wake/sleep cases? Is there a setting to enable it
Answer:	The 9W charger with the HD plus is nothing to brag about, even the 5W charger is only a 1A charge; which my 7th gen is limited to; even with a 24W charger. The Usb/C port is only a C pinout, NOT a true Usb/C, charging is limited by firmware to ~1A; so this newest gen is still extremely slow charging!
Question:	Is there a case you can purchase that turns tablet on when you open the cover
Answer:	When I got my Kindle HD Fire 10 in 2017, I went to YouTube to see how or if I could add Google Chrome. I was able to find a video right away, followed the steps - and within minutes I had both Google Chrome and the Google Playstore. It has worked without a hitch since. I'm a 60-year-old grandmother who is not very tech-savvy, so I was very grateful for this! I just got a new 2020 Kindle HD Fire 8 and will be doing the same thing with this one.
Question:	What is the ram on this tablet? it mistakenly lists 32gb which is pretty close to impossible
Answer:	I suspect not even David knows everything. Google would be happy to have the PlayStore on Fire tablets without a work-around. But then who would buy Amazon apps?
