Answer:	My son is right handed, but I see no reason why it would work differently for a left handed child. The stylus is connected at the middle of the bottom of the unit, so I imagine it works the same either way.

Answer:	There are two levels, level 1, and level 2. Level 2 will detect whether you are tracing right over the dots and make you start over if you don't trace correctly. That does get frustrating if they are not good at it yet, so level 1 allows new learners to "do their best" without making them constantly start over if the pen goes off the dotted line.

Theres also a bumper case that you can buy from leapfrog to help a little with keeping it a little cleaner. I wouldnt count on spilled juice not ruining it. Answer:	I just bought the ultra for my 4 year olds bday. I was also concerned about what you will get with the wifi. I must say I LOVE it!!! He has a 7, 9 , and 11 year old older siblings. They all wanted to check out the Leapsearch. It has pictures, short videoes, that are like stories with the words on the bottom as they talk, but the best part is that a 4 year old can search on it and look for "cool" things all on there own. You don't type in words to search the clips are all categories for example: football, toys, basketball, dinosaurs, animals, etc. There are cartoon type things and real life type things 9trick sport plays, kids cupstacking, educational dinosaur clips, kids telling jokes, etc.etc.etc.) My 4 year old was able to find a star wars lego clip that he LOVES all on his wn. My older kids have ipod touches and he always wanted them to search for things for him to see. I can't beleive how well they made the search and that everything he touches on is appropriate. I HATE it when my older kids find inappropriate clips on utube. My 11 year old was very impreeseed and happy that he doesn't have to give up his ipod and search for his brother anymore:) I downloaded the 1 free game which was nice. I didn't buy any cartridges or apps. There is plenty to do on it without adding anything. I am sure I will get him some game cartridges for Christmas, but I think what is included, at least for me, is better than the games!!!! I do think the load on the apps are a little slow, but it doesn't seem slow on the wifif clips, at least to us.

Answer:	If your child is endangered by the stylus perhaps this toy is not age appropriate? I would advise keeping pencils, crayons and other stylus-like objects away from your child as well. My children were both using this at 2 (boy) and 4 (girl) and have never had issues with the stylus presenting any danger.

Answer:	LeapPad 2! You don't need Wifi for it. You buy ebooks, videos and games on Leapfrog's site and download them to the LeapPad 2. You can also buy cartridges but I'd recommend downloading instead. My 3-year-old daughter loves her "computer" and since it doesn't need Wifi she has access to all of the stuff on it all the time. It's been a huge help on long car rides!

Answer:	The Leappad 2 Power Learning Tablet comes with the rechargeable batteries, where as the Leappad 2 Kids Explorer Tablet just comes with the tablet and the power cord. Other then that there is no difference. I have bought both in the last 2 years. With the Leappad 2 Kids Explorer Tablet you have to buy the rechargeable batteries separate if you do not want to go through batteries often.

Answer:	The dementions on the Third version screen is the now more vertical then horizontal. It seems to be more practical on how children position the device to use. When we view a tv screen we look at it more horizontal, seems more natural. I believe Leapfrog thought this out more clearly when they designed it. The memory is the same for both pads 2 and 3,but 3 has a faster modem. I never had a problem with that feature on 2, my kids never complained.I just want more memory to download music which takes up the most of what they provide for the device. I believe most of us still are not comfortable with wfi. Seems like their are too many choices for kids to select, which is a great point we like a lot of choices,but to a child this may loose the basic fundamental/skill we want them to learn. We have to decern what we want them play. To many choices, like butterflies they are they bounce around and loose interest fast. Start out with a few selections then switch it up. this lets them keep interest in the device. Leap Pad 2 is the best bang for the buck! It's still hands down on the buying list and its a great time to invest in it. Leap frog is spending more time developing their TV network line then focusing on a better Ultra device. The Ultra seems to have a lot of kinks in the reviews. Maybe next year they will upgrade that device. Ultra has only a small amount of activities to download. The older games/video's wont work on it. More time is needed to develop its investment to us.
