Answer:	SHORT ANSWER: No, it will play at your TV's 2 factoring features max lines of resolution and FPS or Frames Per second. Similar to playing a bluray (1080p or lines or resolution) on a smaller or older 720p TV. It will work but downgrade hour auality... it's basically the "weakest link in the chain" saying or the funnel effect where water is only allowed to travel the speed of the most narrow pipe... the TV should simply downgrade the quality in the bluray player to the highest quality your TV can produce AND MAX frames per second.
