I love this lap top, actually, and getting a refurbished E6420 (which originally sold for almost $2,000.00) is still a lot better than getting a new $400.00 p.o.s from Best Buy or Office Depot. |

I'm not sure about its max memory; the highest offered from HP with this rig is 16GB. If you really need to go above that, two factors affect this: processor type and OS level. Since this is an x64 machine, the max memory under Win7 Pro should be 192GB. x86 machines have a max of 4GB no matter the OS; Home versions of Win7 have varying limits from 8 to 16. Careful if you're upgrading to 10 that the machine will still handle the max 192GB; I haven't tried that. |
