Answer: yes it has DDR4, but thats on the 2020 model that starts at $1799, the the less expensive 2020 models have DDR3. Its a little confusing at first but if you visit the apple website and view all the different models and options it will help. The base 2020 model that starts with 16gb ram and 512 gb SSD has the faster ram the 2020 base model that has 8gb of ram has the slower ram DDR3 hopefully this helps
