Answer:	So far I tried openWRT, Debian 10, and Ubuntu 18.04 server. Debian 10 install got stuck in the same place twice; I went on the Ubuntu and have not tried again after BIOS adjustments. Ubuntu 18.04 server worked OK so far but would not shutdown or reboot properly under SW control until I went into BIOS and set XHCI from "auto" to "enabled". Now it shutsdown and reboots. Software controlled reboot is very important as this box will sit in a closet. I have only run OpenWRT from the USB drive so far but it worked but again had the shutdown/reboot problem. Have not tried after BIOS adjustment.
Question:	Does it Support pFSense
Answer:	Yes, it does. I have the latest pfSense running on it with no problems out of the box. One thing to keep in mind that WiFi card coming with this Mini PC (AzureWave AW-NU706H) is not supported by pfSense. Worse that this WiFi card is unique as it uses USB protocol while having mini-PCI connector and this is the only kind of WiFi cards this PC supports. Basically you have to either use external WiFi access point or go with a newer model they have Q310G4, which does support mini-PCI WiFi cards. In general with pfSense you want any Atheros chipset.

With that said this is a passively cooled Celeron J1900 so it is not the fastest 4 core / 4 thread CPU out there, but considering the size and features it has served me well.
