Answer:	It has worked for me and many others under Windows 10, though some have had problems they had work through. Much more information is available at the Paperport Google Group at this url, https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/paperport Paperport is not set up to recognize Open Office and so I would not expect it to.

Answer:	The first answer is wrong. I actually believe that the Mac version will do that (being on line), but the Windows version as long as it is running, it only checks to see if there is an upgrade, and that's it. And if there is no internet connection, it runs anyway. You can install and activate the program five times. Although it is only licensed for one user.

Answer:	I'm also a writer/journalist. I use this software to dictate my material. It's well worth the investment, but I also encourage you to research and invest in a decent headset and/or standalone microphone. I do not know if this version is compatible with Windows 10. I am in the process of trying to find that out. If you have Windows 10, you might need to get the newer version.

Answer:	Very simple-insert the cd and follow the directions. It takes about 30 minutes to set up and configure to your speech pattern to get started. I have been in computer tech for over 30 years, and this program impresses me!

Answer:	I tried Windows Vista speech program and nearly threw my laptop out in the yard! It was SO frustrating, adding words when I would take a breath, trying to predict what I was going to say. Dragon didn't do that. We are still learning each other, but I will say I prefer it to Vista. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I don't know why it wouldn't. I have Windows Vista professional, and it works just fine for me. I would assume that it would work with all Windows products.

Answer:	Yes I use it on a computer that has Windows 7, and it's working fine. I did have a problem for a short time, but, it was my sound card and not the Dragon.

Answer:	This is not a separate question.
Question:	How well does this handle cad drawings, I have to work on high resolution cad drawings at times can this handle that? and printing 36x42 pdf pages
Answer:	I can only answer part of your question, because I do not have a large-format printer, but Nuance Power PDF did the following: It successfully accepted a JPG image of over 80 MB that was made for full-resolution reproduction of a photo image at 24 x 36 inches size, and it made a correct PDF file for it that displayed properly in Adobe Acrobat DC. It successfully accepted and displayed a vendor's specification PDF of 22 x 15 inches full size that consisted mostly of text, with small and large line drawings (electrical schematics) scattered within it. Then it converted that to a corresponding Microsoft Word document of the same size, with all text blocks recognized by its internal OCR, proofread against a dictionary, with uncertainties presented to the user for manual proofreading as it does for letter-size documents. The line drawings were converted to images and placed correctly in the Word document without attempting to OCR their text. I do not think that Nuance Power PDF accepts vector-based drawings such as DXF but I did not try those. Thus if you can convert or scan your drawings into large image files such as JPG, the program may do most or all of what you want.

Answer:	Absolutely. In File > Options > General section: UN-check the box labeled: "Open documents as new tabs within the same window."

Answer:	Yes it will straighten. You use the "Make Document Searchable" on the Home screen. This converts to OCR and in order for it to do that, it must align properly first, thus fixing a tilted scan as well as making it searchable.

Answer:	I believe it should, because this is simply a wireless bluetooth connectivity mic that is set up in Windows (or Mac OS) as an audio source, and should then work wherever any other mic, headset, can be used as an audio input device. So, accordingly, it should "work" with ANY Nuance Dragon software (that supports a bluetooth audio source). You should please prudently double-check that, by looking at the drop down list of available (supported) audio sources, within the PowerScribe 360 audio source set-up menu. Thank you.
