| Answer: | I tried a 750GB HDD which was recognized, formatted, and worked fine, but didn't fit very well in the secondary drive bay … too thick to allow the bottom cover to close properly/completely. I pulled it out and replaced with a 1TB SSD (SanDisk) that both fit fine in the drive bay, and works perfect. I think the BIOS will accept larger SSD's, but I haven't actually tried that, so would have to refer you to Acer customer support on that question, e.g., what's the largest capacity SSD you can put in the secondary drive bay? |

How to switch s mode to windows 10
On your PC running Windows 10 in S mode, open Settings > Update & Security > Activation.
In the Switch to Windows 10 Home or Switch to Windows 10 Pro section, select Go to the Store. (If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, be careful not to click the "Go to the Store" link that appears there.)
On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store.

I cannot answer your other question about the "ghost manta" as I have not had time to get to know my personal device due to work. Have you tried Googling the term under "what are ghast manta apps on the MS s mode computer"? |
