LCD1602 Display module
LCD1602 module is a display that has an LED backlight and can display two rows with up to 16 characters on each row. You can see the rectangles for each character on the display and the pixels that make up each character. The display is just white on blue and is intended for showing text.
Lining up the display with the top of the breadboard helps to identify its pins without too much counting, especially if the breadboard has its rows numbered with row 1 as the top row of the board. Do not forget, the long yellow lead that links the slider of the pot to pin 3 of the display. The 'pot' is used to control the contrast of the display.
DC Motors and L293D Transistor
In this project you will learn how to control a small DC motor using a Mega2560 board and a L293D transistor, which is a very useful chip. It can actually control two motors independently. We are just using half the chip in this lesson, most of the pins on the right hand side of the chip are for controlling a second motor.
L293D is quadruple high-current half-H drivers and designed to provide bidirectional drive currents of up to 1 A at voltages from 4.5 V to 36 V. The L293D is also designed to provide bidirectional drive currents of up to 600-mA at voltages from 4.5 V to 36 V and drive inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, dc and bipolar stepping motors, as well as other high-current/high-voltage loads in positive-supply applications.

Answer: | Good day Jose, I am not sure what your problem is with this mini cd, so l will just list some reasons and perhaps you can identify a solution. 1) Because this CD is smaller than the standard size, it can't be inserted directly into the slot of enclosed types of CD drives. The type of CD drive that you need to use are the drives that pop out like a small draw and the disc is then clipped directly onto the centre of the drive, then the drive is pushed closed. All laptop computers use this style of CD. 2) After you insert the mini CD, if it does not run automatically, then click on your desktop icon for "my compuer" and all your drives will be displayed, look for your CD drive icon and click on that, then your CD will run and the files on the disc will be displayed, then click on what ever file you want to see. 3) I can't think of any other issue that you may have, unless you have a faulty CD, however, if this was the case, your computer would report some sort of error messag. But let me at least give you some info that will guide you towards supplying more information so that I can help. You say that the IDE has a long list of TYPE's. Yes there are 16 of them. Therefore it appears that you are getting an "error" when you try to compile your sketch. Now without seeing your sketch, it is not possible to go any further. But this type of error is because the Controller does not know how to deal with the data that you have entered, and are asking it to act upon. The controller needs to make available the the amount of memory space to store your information and also where to store it, and how it will manipulate it, and therefore it needs to know what "TYPE" of data it is. Now without seeing your sketch , you are the only one who knows "what type of data" it is. Regards |
