Answer:	This kit is actually an already built (very small) computer and some external components intended for hobbyists who want to tinker with something inexpensive and small -- not really for gaming. It could probably power an emulator for like Nintendo or Sega but it probably won't work for most modern computer games. Regarding 'a better one that won't break the bank' - I'm not sure what your budget is, or what types of games he wants to play. He should probably start by googling the game name + "pc hardware requirements" i.e. https://www.google.com/#q=portal+2+pc+hardware+requirements - That will tell you (at minimum) what hardware you need. Usually getting hardware that's a little higher end (especially things like better graphics cards, SSD, more memory) will make game play a little nicer and allow for better graphics. From there he can figure out where to get components to build that computer using http://pcpartpicker.com/ and figure out how much the build will cost.Good luck!

Answer:	This is a maker product. both his LT and Chrome book are more powerful and versatile than this device most likely. IT is not best suited for day to day Desktop productivity. If your child wants to learn how to program and interphase with DIY hardware projects there is nothing better for them. The community that supports the Rpi is amazing. Answer:	Simply put, no standard Raspberry Pi has a RTC. The new "Pi 4 Compute module" *will* have a RTC. ASSUMING you run the Pi on a network, the "NTP" service addresses accurate clock needs, by checking with NTP hosts and updating your clock to correct for periodic drift. If you run your Pi WITHOUT A NETWORK then it is more challenging to maintain time -- but you can either purchase a RTC module, OR a GPS module. Both of these will provide accurate time references to the Pi.

Question:	I have a raspberry pi 3 with some games. Can I use it directly with this raspberry pi
Answer:	Yes, absolutely. I tried the Minecraft demo installed on the NUC6CAYS, got hooked and bought the full edition. I mapped a wireless game controller to work with it, which is so much better than the keyboard control. I set a max 40 fps, which it maintains most of the time. It's addictive fun. I upgraded ram to 8 gb, but still running from the EMMC. Migrating to the SSD should make some performance improvement.I bought this NUC to use as a 24/7 DVR. - - fantastic energy savings over the tower I had been using for that purpose. I still transcode on the tower.If I were buying one for gaming, I would go for a more powerful unit, but the NUC6CAYS is fine for Minecraft, if you aren't a hardcore gamer.

Answer:	The fan runs off of 5V only (doesn't know about temp). Pin 2 is 5V and Pin 6 is GND. Your kit should have come with a drawing of the GPIO. Even pins are nearest the outter edge of the case.
Question:	Which way do you want the airflow to go form the fan? Blowing on the board or blowing the air out of the case
Answer:	The case is only held in place with 4 philips screws. It is easy to remove. The case’s built in fan connects to pins 0 and 12.

Answer:	There's actually a bracket built onto the inside of lid (can't remember if it's the top or bottom. I think bottom) that your 2.5" drive slides into. It's a tight fit, so no need for screws. It has a short SATA cable that runs to the board and provides both power and data.
