Answer:	NOOBS stands for New Out Of the Box Softwear. It is a piece of softwear put together by the people who design and build the Debian (Named for Debbie and Ian, hence Debian) software which is designed Especially for the Raspberry Pi. You will find it is the best choice and fit for the Machine itself. With the Canakit you get EVERYTHING you need to get started. By following their excellent instructions, you will soon be up and running. I believe they have just about thought of everything. Correct power supply, Power on/off switch, adapter for both power and Mini HDMI connectors and a fan powered case. With the NOOBS on the Micro SD HD card you can choose the OS you prefer from about 5-6 choices. I recommend Raspbian Buster, and the Elec one that supplies the Kodi installation of the OS. The HD card you are supplied is big enough to hold both systems. That way, you can dual boot to either one and live like a king. Question:	How do you attach the heat sink? This is my 1st Pi
Answer:	The heat sinks aren’t officially a requirement but since they are in the kit it makes perfect sense to put the on especially if you plan to run your pi with passive cooling. Mine also came with the fan.

Answer:	A small fan is included, but it is not really required unless you are going to run the board hard with 24/7 computing projects. For distributed computing projects where the CPU is run at 100%, the fan will hold temps down by about 10 deg C with the heatsinks.

Answer:	Python is included in the Raspian operating system along with the Thonny IDE that you'll use as your workspace to do your coding. The SD micro card you'll use to plug into the pi will have all that stuff on it and will set everything up for you the first time you boot it up. Watch those UTube videos and tutorials, they're priceless!

You either accidentally bought the wrong one or the vendor accidentally - or possibly deliberately depending on vendor - sent you the wrong one. Review your Amazon order and if you should have received the eight gigabyte model talk to Amazon customer support.

Question:	I have a raspberry pi 3 with some games. Can I use it directly with this raspberry pi
Answer:	Yes, absolutely. I tried the Minecraft demo installed on the NUC6CAYS, got hooked and bought the full edition. I mapped a wireless game controller to work with it, which is so much better than the keyboard control. I set a max 40 fps, which it maintains most of the time. It's addictive fun. I upgraded ram to 8 gb, but still running from the EMMC. Migrating to the SSD should make some performance improvement.I bought this NUC to use as a 24/7 DVR. - - fantastic energy savings over the tower I had been using for that purpose. I still transcode on the tower.If I were buying one for gaming, I would go for a more powerful unit, but the NUC6CAYS is fine for Minecraft, if you aren't a hardcore gamer.

Answer:	The fan runs off of 5V only (doesn't know about temp). Pin 2 is 5V and Pin 6 is GND. Your kit should have come with a drawing of the GPIO. Even pins are nearest the outter edge of the case.

Answer:	The case is only held in place with 4 philips screws. It is easy to remove. The case’s built in fan connects to pins 0 and 12.

If you are referring to that USB barrel connector that came with the Smays, eh...it's possible to use it to inject power to the OTG host, but I am pretty sure that the power draw/injection on the Smays will be limited to 500mA, which isn't really enough to charge much beyond older smartphones. For tablets, you are still going to eventually run down your battery, just at a slower rate. As for POE, are you kidding me? You are expecting this $15 microUSB OTG hub/ethernet to initiate a POE protocol handshake, accept 48v of power off the ethernet side and convert it to 5v for injecting back onto the OTG host?!

Answer:	You'd have to check the spec.s, but from my experience with it, it's powered by USB not Ethernet. We (engineering lab) already tried it with a Samsung Galaxy Note S3 and couldn't get it to work. It can power the device, but there's no driver. It's my understanding that it could work if you rooted/jail break the phone, but we weren't successful. We're engineers, but not Android experts; so, just downloaded tools that are readily available.

Answer:	Python is included in the Raspian operating system along with the Thonny IDE that you'll use as your workspace to do your coding. The SD micro card you'll use to plug into the pi will have all that stuff on it and will set everything up for you the first time you boot it up. Answer:	I don't know the answer to the question you're asking but I want to expand on what you're asking. The original revision of the board has issues on the USB-C port had issues not working with LOTS of chargers as it was out of spec and caused thing's to be be identified as an audio device.

Answer:	Yes, it's strange but it happened to me as well. I didn't get any outer cardboard box, both the raspberry element14 box and the raspberry board states it's "Made in UK", but the sticker with a barcode placed on top of the this box has MADE IN CHINA in caps.

Answer:	Simply put, no standard Raspberry Pi has a RTC. The new "Pi 4 Compute module" *will* have a RTC. ASSUMING you run the Pi on a network, the "NTP" service addresses accurate clock needs, by checking with NTP hosts and updating your clock to correct for periodic drift. If you run your Pi WITHOUT A NETWORK then it is more challenging to maintain time -- but you can either purchase a RTC module, OR a GPS module. Both of these will provide accurate time references to the Pi.

Answer:	Basically the same. There is no GUI, you have to image the SD yourself but this includes a very helpful guide for beginners. I chose this because of the controllers.
