Answer:	" that memory will then underclock itself to to 2666mhz" That is not accurate at all. 2666Mhz is the officially supported memory speed by the CPU any compatible memory kit rated higher will need to be overclocked. A compatible motherboard with the ability to apply an XMP profile will overlock the RAM to it's rated speed.

As long as you buy supported memory (there is a list on the Gigabyte website) all you have to do to use higher speed memory is toggle on the memory OC feature in the BIOS. With supported memory it will instantly change the voltage and timings to stable values.

Answer:	I'm not sure of the dimensions. Another retailer lists the heatsink dimensions as 2.39" x 3.77" x 3.77"and the fan dimensions as 0.98" x 3.62" x 3.62" (sorry it's not metric). This heatsink fits perfectly on my Intel BOXDH77EB motherboard. My case is a Silverstone ML03. I actually have two of these, same case, same motherboard. They're quiet, have real metal screws and haven't given me any problems.

Answer:	No it does NOT have thermal paste pre-applied. It does however have a small packet of paste included in packaging. I strongly advise to get a tube of paste for less mess during application.

Question:	Why do they include a boost clock If you can't overclock it
Answer:	Because locked processors do boost up to the max boost frequency. Overclocking is completely different from boosting, which is what the unlocked chips are for. When you overclock you can set an all-core frequency equal to or greater than the max boost frequency. The max boost clock is usually only on one or two cores as well, it's not an all-core boost. The boosted speeds you personally see are also controlled by an algorithm and it's based on temperatures, power delivery, silicon lottery, etc, whereas with overclocking you manually control speeds and voltages.
Question:	can I use this with the prime z270-p 5X protection 3 motherboard
Answer:	Z270 chipset is 200 series. This CPU requires a motherboard with 400 series chipset, and I believe the required CPU socket is also different.
