3 best ram for ryzen 5 1600 16g

The Ryzen 5 1600 is a mid-range processor from AMD's Ryzen lineup, which was introduced in 2017. When it comes to RAM (Random Access Memory) for a computer with a Ryzen 5 1600 processor, there are a few things to consider:

  1. DDR4 RAM: The Ryzen 5 1600 is compatible with DDR4 RAM, which is the standard for modern computers. DDR4 RAM offers better performance and power efficiency compared to its predecessor, DDR3.

  2. Memory Speed: Ryzen processors benefit from higher RAM speeds. You can choose RAM with speeds ranging from 2133MHz to 3200MHz or even higher if your motherboard supports it. Faster RAM can improve overall system performance, especially in tasks that are memory-intensive.

  3. Capacity: You mentioned you want 16GB of RAM. This is a reasonable amount for most general computing tasks and even gaming. If you plan to do memory-intensive tasks like video editing or 3D rendering, you might consider 32GB or more.

  4. Dual-Channel vs. Single-Channel: Ryzen processors perform better with dual-channel memory configurations. This means using two identical RAM sticks, like two 8GB sticks, instead of a single 16GB stick. Dual-channel memory can provide a noticeable boost in performance.

  5. CAS Latency (CL): Lower CAS latency values indicate faster RAM.For gaming and general use, you typically won't see a significant difference between CAS 16 and CAS 18, for example, but it can matter for specific applications.

  6. Compatibility: It's important to ensure that the RAM you choose is compatible with your motherboard. Check the motherboard's documentation or website for a list of supported RAM modules.

  7. Brand and Quality: Reliable RAM brands include Corsair, G.Skill, Kingston, Crucial, and others. Choose RAM from a reputable manufacturer to ensure quality and reliability.

  8. XMP/DOCP Profiles: Some RAM modules come with XMP (Intel) or DOCP (AMD) profiles. These profiles allow you to easily set the RAM to its rated speed and timings in the BIOS, making the installation process simpler.

In summary, for a computer with a Ryzen 5 1600 processor and 16GB of RAM, you should look for DDR4 RAM with a speed that's compatible with your motherboard, consider a dual-channel configuration, and pay attention to CAS latency. This setup should work well for most computing tasks, including gaming and general use.

User questions & answers

Question: will this ram able to over clock to like 2666 or 3000 ect? Many Thanks
Answer: The soft boxes diffuse the light output, creating a softer, more dimensional look to the subject matter. Really helpful when doing portraitures and product photography.
Question: Can I use it on an am4 socket
Answer: This particular set did not include a remote. Other sets do offer the remote, but may not offer some the other items (barndoors, softboxes, equipment bags, etc.) that are included with this setup. For me, no remote was not an issue.
Question: Anyone using with a ryzen 5 1600? what speeds can you get with this? putting together a gaming pc with my son - have an asus rog b350 mobo
Answer: No it does not , you can swivel the led without soft boxes strait down but it’s pointing at the stand and can’t have anything directly under without the stand being in the way
Question: Why does it say DDR3 2400 in the ram memory technology area and if that isn't a mistake, what does that mean vs "DDR
Answer: I also had trouble at first. What the five step instructions do not show is that you need to remove the barn doors prior to installing the softbox. There are 4 screws on the front in each corner of the barn doors bracket. You will just need a standard screw driver or coin to loosen them. They have ridges so you can user your fingers to remove them once initially loosened . After removing the barn doors, I recommend replacing the screws. The softbox fits easily after that.

User questions & answers

Question: If I add a 8gb for my Dell i5675 will it be compatible with the 8gb thats already in my pc
Answer: Thank you for contacting Crucial and for your question. The part number that you provided is 100% compatible with your system. That being said, we can guarantee that our memory will work with your computer, but we have no way to guarantee that it will work with what is currently installed in the system. I can tell you that most consumer systems out there can mix different brands of memory without running into any issues.
Question: Will this be compatible to add with existing 16gb 2rx8 pc4-2400t-ub1-11 for lenovo ideacentre y900-34isz
Answer: Thank you for your question. This memory is x8 and dual ranked as well, so the memory will most likely work with the existing part, there is however no way to guarantee this. You may be forced to run the modules in separate memory channels in single channel mode if they do not work in a dual channel setup.
Question: I bought a single 8Gb stick of this for my build - it says 2400 but is running at 1200. Why? Is it only 2400 if I run 2 sticks
Answer: Modern DRAM modules support double data rate (DDR) transfers, meaning that although they function at a given clock speed, they transfer data during both the rise and fall of a CPU clock cycle, allowing for double the data transfers their native speed, or frequency, would suggest. Some diagnostic or system information software does not express this clearly, only reflecting the modules' frequency in megahertz (MHz), making such feedback suggest that your parts are only running at half their possible speed. For example, DDR3-1600 supports 1600 megatransfers per second (MT/s) due to its nature as DDR memory, but runs at 800 MHz.
Question: What is the difference between crucial ct8g4dfd824a and crucial ct8g4dfs824a
Answer: Thanks for your question. CT8G4DFD824A is a dual ranked part and CT8G4DFS824A is a single ranked part. More information on this can be found here: http://forums.crucial.com/t5/Crucial-memory-for-PC-systems/What-is-a-memory-Rank/ta-p/126346
