Answer:	What you need to do is download the Crucial Scan program and let it scan your system. It will tell you what type and how much memory your motherboard will hold. On mine it told me it would accept 16gb. Now depending on how many slots you have will determine how big each stick needs to be. On mine it was 4gb per stick. Jim

Answer:	Go to Crucial.com and run the scan program. This will tell you the type of memory to use. Next if you don't have the a manual for the motherboard, run system and see what the max memory the board can handle. Next divide the max memory by the number of boars it will accept. Example, on mine I had 4 slots with a max memory of 16gb. Dividing 4 into 16 gives me a 4gb max per board. If you have the manual then it should tell you what it can take. But that's how you can figure it out. Hope this helps.

This means you won't be able to use the memory that you already have on your PC unless you are fine at running at a slower speed.The benefit of running with more RAM at a slower speed is during multitasking, video editing, photo editing, etc that takes a lot of memory. If you are running video games and other things that require higher speeds you'll benefit from running lower RAM density at higher clock speeds.
