Answer:	I just bought this yesterday. I am running the latest OS X Yosemite 10.11.2 and it works *but only if you plug in the device to the USB port AFTER launching the application*. If the device is already plugged in then it does not record any sound.

Answer:	The mixed answers here might be because of the following behavior: You have to plug the device into the usb port *AFTER* launching the application. If the device is already plugged in then it does not record any sound. Answer:	Yes, it has all the cables you need. It has the UBS connector and it has the three RCA cables (red,white,and yellow). It does not have a S-cable but there is a place to connect it if you want to use one for slightly better video output.
Question:	How do I know if my pc has a dvd burner
Answer:	Generally, the drive will have "DVD Recorder", "DVD Multi Recorder", or similar on the drive tray door. In Windows explorer, when you click on "This PC", the drive should show up as "DVD RW Drive (?:)" where ? is your drive letter. You can also right-click on your drive letter in Windows Explorer under "This PC", then click on properties. There should be a "Recording" tab on your properties dialog box. Clicking on the "Recording" tab should list your drive with a label of "DVD RW Drive".

Answer:	Yeah in advanced mode you can pick under preferences what type of file you want to save it as. I have all of mine on my external hard drive

Answer:	Some can be ripped to your pc then to DVD (cd's may be too small to fit a movie unless its under 700 megabytes).After saving to your pc, you can use the program or any other program that will burn a DVD. The DVD will only hold up to 4.2 gigabytes so make sure of the file size before burning or it have to go on to 2 DVD's.When burning, make sure there is an option to make the DVD playable on your TV or other devices (i.e. portable dvd player). Depending on the age of the player, older models may not play the dvd while newer ones will.In the US, players will only take a dvd if it is formated for NTSC. PAL formats are for other countries.I have ripped older movies but found newer ones have a copyright block that will prevent you from ripping them. So if you are hoping to rip Frozen to another dvd, it may not happen.I have used VHStoDVD recently on home made VHS tapes but had problems burning while I was on Windows 8. Upgrading to Win 8.1 removed whatever was blocking the program and all runs smoothly now.Hope my answer was not too confusing. Learn the program and have fun.

Answer:	I only converted my personal vhs tapes to dvd but I think that you will be able to copy old movies as well.

Answer:	Yes, you first capture them on your hard drive as individual captures. Then when you use the "burn to DVD option" it will allow you to pick as many captured "mpeg" files as will fit on a standard DVD. You can also use a double layer DVD to get more onto it.

Answer:	You miniDV recorder probably had a digital output possibly with a firewire connector. Don't think this product will connect to that. If you're lucky your camcorder also had a standard video/audio cable output as well, which will work but not as high quality as the direct digital output. There are firewire adapters out there, if need be.
Question:	Copy Protected okay
Answer:	Not affected by copy protected tapes. ClearClick works by digitally recording from the output of your VCR directly and has nothing to do with the copy protection on a tape at all. I have done a few and it works perfectly.

Answer:	I had to work with the Corel help desk for over 10 days to get mine to work on Windows 10. The software disk that came with it was labeled Windows 7 and 8 and Copyrighted 2013 (before Windows 10 was released). The help desk eventually sent me to a link where I could download a new version of Pinnacle Studio for Dazzle which was Copyrighted 2020. Maybe I just got a box that has been sitting on the shelves for years?

Answer:	You can't. Regardless of the length of the vhs tape, it can only do one tape per cd. There's no way to pause the cd to put another vhs tape in and have it continue recording. Some of my cds are short and others ended up going into two cds. Wish it were different.

Answer:	Yes. You can used the advanced mode. It allows you to save to a file, rather than to write to DVD. Mine saved to a .wmv file.
