Answer:	Not really... Home audio systems are either one output or multiple zones. Echo Link will either play music everywhere or be limited by the zone(s) that were last selected on the audio system. ALSO be aware of what room/group you set on the Echo Link. If it's programmed as Living Room/Basement (where your home audio system input is) it won't respond to commands for the Kitchen. It's not aware of what rooms the home audio system is connected to, only itself. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes. The analog outputs on the Link sound better than the dot. The Link also allows you to connect by optical digital connection if you have an external DAC for even better sound. Check out my review below for more details.

Answer:	You can play from the audio RCA inputs to an echo device or echo music group (I'm not sure about he optical inputs). After I received my Echo Link I couldn't figure out how at first. The answers to this question made me think it was not possible. The amazon support (https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GD7BG7CYVY8NWGD3) also made me doubt it was possible: "Unsupported Connections: TV/video connections Casting to Multi-Room Music from a line-in or Bluetooth input" However, I am now able to successfully play records from my record player to echo devices and echo music groups using the Line-In inputs after being provided the following advice from amazon support: You can connect your record player to the Echo Link and distribute the music to the Echos on your account using the steps below: To set up the Echo Link with line in: 1. Create a multi-room music group with your Echo Link Go to Devices> Select the + sign in the top right corner> Setup Multi-Room Music group> select the Echo Link and ALL Echos you wish to connect with. **Link must be included in the group with the other Echos** 2. Plug the RCA cable into the Line in ports on the back of the Echo Link. 3. Plug the other end of the cable into the record player. 4. Answer:	Presumably, if you are looking into buying one of these, you either have an audiophile grade separate Pre-amplifier,HT Receiver, or other type of A/V Control center, which features digital inputs and-or digital outputs. In this case, bypassing the Echo's analog outputs, as well as the Echo Link's analog outputs, in lieu of using the Echo Link's Toslink or Coaxial Digital output, allows the listener to use the superior DAC in their system component to decode lossless digital music. In my case I use a McIntosh A/V Control center with 32 bit 384hz DAC''s which are light years better than those used in the Echo and Echo Link for their analog outputs. When playing lossless files ore streaming lossless content, this will produce the best sound quality you will be able to hear, within the bounds of your home system and the music files / streaming services you subscribe to. Listening with the Echo Link digital out isn't quite MQA (Master Quality Audio, a whole entirely different animal we won't get into here) but it's bout the best you are going to hear, unless you step up the game and drop some serious coin on another type of audiophile streamer. When I want that level of quality, I play vinyl or Analog tape, or even DSD/SACD/FLAC/MQA files through a very high end headless streamer with a NAS device wired via Ethernet cables and not over WIFI. There there is a lag and quality often varies, no matter what other folks say. On a revealing system you can hear the difference when connected via Ethernet (10/100/1000 cable) versus even Gigabit wireless. If you have digital inputs. subscribe to or have access to lossless files or streaming services. Based on what I hear from my system, I strongly recommend using the Echo Link instead of the Echo or Echo Dot analog outputs. There is a not so subtle difference with lossless files and high resolution streaming. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Answer:	You can if your computer has bluetooth - just pair your computer to the device and have the device connected to your stereo, assuming that your stereo takes extra inputs such as aux, tuner or CD type inputs.

Answer:	Saw question & got curious so... Plugged a pr of cheap headphones into the 3.5mm jack while simultaneously connected to a stereo & played a song using Pandora. The volume of stereo was immediately cut by around 50% & the sound level in headphones was really low.
Question:	does this one auto shutdown if not used for some hours
Answer:	You have to shut it off or it sits there and searches for a Bluetooth signal. It will auto connect with whatever device is available. I leave mine on so I can just auto connect when I walk into the house for music from my phone.

Answer:	I have the very same problem. Before anyone jumps to a conclusion, here is my setup. B06 plugged into SONOS Play 5 powered speaker with iPhone X streaming directly over Bluetooth. Just switched out the B06 for another brand's streamer and no problem using normal volume settings... Using the B06 I have to quadruple the normal volume setting to get anything useable. And, yes, my Bluetooth source volume on my phone is turned up to max. Sound quality is very good, but having to juggle sound settings is very inconvenient and would prevent me from recommending this product.

Answer:	They can be on different channels... Firmware updates may have changed this but ours can currently be named. FYI, Spotify is a bit of a pain to use with it since you have to run their app at the same time.

Answer:	I do not have an Android, so this answer only applies to Apple products. That said, this device works just like all of my other Apple AirPlay streaming equipment, i.e. Airport Express & Apple TV 2nd & 3rd generation. The setup is easy, it appears in the list of AirPlay devices on all platforms, so it works well on the iPad & iPhone and can be played with multiple AirPlay devices from iTunes on an iMac or MacBook. This device works great and is much less quirky than the apple streaming devices. The only drawback, and maybe this is a feature, is that the output is to analog audio. So I take this directly to the RCA AUX input of my receiver. On the Apple airplay devices you have the option of either analog or digital output so you can run the audio through a DAC, gaining a slightly better audio quality...

Answer:	It is a little involved to configure from a mac computer. Basically, you join the configuration WiFi, I think something like Audiocast_xxxx, on your mac. Then look at the TCP/IP router address in your Network configuration in System Preferences. Enter that IP address in your browser, Safari or Chrome. You will get a configuration page on your web browser where you can enter your WiFi SSID and password for the network you want it to join. I just figured this out by trial and error trying to get a 3-year-old broken device to work, but I could never get the AirTunes server to come up on my broken device. When I get my new one, I'll try to get a procedure together for configuring it from a browser and add it here.

Answer:	IF YOU talking about miracast (mirror android on tv), then yes. if you referring to airplay (mirroring iphone on tv), then not right now. it use to be able to. you will need to try airplay apps on the amazon app store such as AirScreen works great and free with advertisements or AirReceiver which cost a little
Question:	Does the cube work with Ring
Answer:	I have the first generation Cube and hate the hting. It has connection issues with my Ring camera as do all FireTVs, I have the 1st generation Fire TV, the 2nd generation FireStick, te 4k FIreStick which is the better way to go, and the 1st generation Cube. I know on the software now there is a mic icon to push on the screen to tlk outside. The problem is it takes too long for the camera to connect with any of the FireTV devices, I have a Show, a Spot, and a Show 5 and they connect almost instantly but the FIRETV devices often time out before they connect. It isn't my WiFi as I have a Google WiFi mesh system with solid connection anywhere inside and basically within a 300' feet outside of my place. You want to see how good these things are? I just looked and they were only offering $0.99 cents for a trade in for a Cube that cost $89 on sale when I bought it, and $5 for a second generation Dot I only paid $25. That right their alone tells you these Cubes are garbage.
Question:	Can i connect the cube directly to my internet router? hardwire, not wifi
Answer:	I'm late, but thought I chime in. You'll never get over 500 mbps of Ethernet speed into a USB port for connection on any device. USB port won't allow over that amount. Speeds above 500 will need a straight Ethernet through Ethernet connection. Amazon always gives you the 10/100 adapter, but you can get a third party one that will give you 10/100/1000. For instance UGREEN adapters can give you 10/100/1000, and you can plug that into the Cube. This will also show you that you'll only get about 500 or so speed when you do a speed test (even if you have 1GB speed) because the connection is still through that USB port. My opnion though... You only need 150 - 200 mbps for pretty decent streaming, especially if your hardwired into your router ( I am, and throughout my house ) Consistent speed on your bandwith gets rid of the buffering...not really more speed. Some wifi signals are up and down due to interference...changing the speed...and creating buffering while streaming.
Question:	Can this be controlled through another Alexa device
Answer:	Yes, I have my Cube in my living room hooked up to my TV there. In my bedroom at the other end of my house I have an Echo dot. I can be in my bedroom and say "Alexa turn on the TV" and Alexa will say okay and then turn on the TV in the livingroom that the Cube is hooked to. See people tend to get things a little confused when it comes to Alexa and the devices it works with. The Cube and other Alexa devices are just listening posts but those listening posts are all tied together in the Alexa app, so when you give a command to any one of them they can turn on anything that's hooked into the Alexa/Echo network, even when the Echo device you give the command to is not the one connected to the device you are trying to turn on with that command.
