Now, the amp can be a standalone basic or integrated into another device such as a receiver, or as I indicated, powered speakers. But don't let that fool you. You need an amp somewhere in the system, and this is not one since it is a pre-amp.

Answer:	You should not need a pre-amp if you have a PHONO input on your receiver. That input is usually amped to RIAA specs and will play your signal from your magnetic cartridge. If you find that the sound output from your turntable is very low, you will need a pre-amp. If your turntable has one built-in, turn it on. Otherwise just buy a stand alone pre-amp and hook your turntable into it and then the pre-amp into your receiver.

Answer:	The AUX is an isolated line level pass through. The pre-amp is only connected to TT to raise the weak phono cartridge signal to a line level signal. This set-up reduces the number of inputs required on your reciever or power amp since many do not offer a phono input anymore.

Answer:	A PREamp is just that, it raises the signal coming from a device like your turntable. You still need a main AMP to connect the preamp to. The main AMP connects to the speakers. If you have powered speakers like computer speakers or a sound bar you would connect this to the turntable and the powered speakers or sound bar as they have an amp in them. If they are plain old speakers you need a main amp which will probably have a preamp in it for turntables. You would need to read the specs.

Question:	Can I go from Digital Audio In to line out(headphones
Answer:	Hi, my Dynavector DV xx-2 mc cartridge output is .23 mv. In my opinion you may need to test between the MM & the MC selectable setting to decide which sounds better for your system. Again in my opinion you will probably find a setting pleasing for your set-up, however read the return policy from the seller( before purchase) and decide upon your comfort level with purchasing. I own 2 of the Parasound MM/MC Zphono's and gave a 3rd as a gift to a vinyl friend. fyi I am not familiar w/ MC cartridges over .8 mv output. All my MM carts were over 1.0 mv . If you are not comfortable with purchasing this on Amazon ...go to the Audioadvisor.com website. get their ph# and talk to a audio consultant-their good guys with real knowledge. Good Luck :)
Question:	Will this device function on a usb bus? i have limited usb ports (3) and would like a additional ports to use sometimes
Answer:	Zphone includes a preamp so it can feed a power amp. Not asked, but I am so far impressed with the sound quality of the zphone when used with my old Phillips 312 TT.
Question:	is EAX positional audio 5.1 supported in games on the digital optic output
Answer:	As far as I know, you can only use one turntable input (indicated by PHONO) at each turn -- the other two inputs are for other analog sources such as tape recorder. The USB output allows you to record any of these analog audio/music onto, say, your computer, hence digitize them and mix them. When dealing with digital music, one should of course use a software (such as Audacity which is free or you use any Audio Mixer Software )... However, to play the digital audio, you should have a DAC (digital to analog device) connected to either your amplifier (--> passive speakers) or to your active speakers.
Question:	Can someone give me a rundown on the software that's included with this? Enhancements/levels/settings, etc. Does it have a graphic equalizer
Answer:	Yes, the version that i have has 2 screw holes on each side of the unit. It's 1/2 rack space size. Also a great phono preamp!
