User questions & answers
Question: | I need a preamp to run from my electric guitar to my behringer 1202fx mixer, will this work |
Answer: | First, I wanna say. This is the best guitar pedal I've ever owned. As a 1/4 in 1/4 out to amp, it Rocks! The low impedance out is a little noisey going to my r-16.(bummer) You may have luck with a gate in the chain. You should buy it, you'll live it! |
Question: | can you drive a cab with this as the only amplification |
Answer: | i think maybe you could, but this sort of pedal is probably better, plugged into a PA system or powered mixer, or as a DI box into a computer I/O. honestly, i don't think this would make for a great, 'amp head into a speaker cabinet'... but it might work... |
Question: | Does this work like the behringer adi21 v-tone acoustic driver , we use a acoustic guitar with a passive pickup |
Answer: | If you want the acoustic to sound like it's plugged into a guitar amp, then yes. If you use the clean mode with the low gain settings, you might get a usable tone. You can also use it as a 'pass thru' direct box when it's not in process mode. |
Question: | Would this be good to go out from the line out on my Bugera |
Answer: | As the V-Tone has a HI Z input, and the 333 has a LO Z line out, my first answer is likely no. But since it won't break anything, try it. You can also try plugging the guitar into the V-Tone and then into the FX return. You may need to put a dummy plug into the FX send jack to activate the loop.Just don't plug the speaker out into it. Bad things will happen. Very bad. |

GDI21
- This Behringer product has been designed to compete head to head with leading products on the market
- Authentic V-TONE modeling technology for 3>
- Provides a truckload of great amps in a single stomp box—simply choose your favourite sounds with a flick of a switch
- Precise level and drive control plus musical 2-band EQ for ultimate sound
V-TONE GUITAR DRIVER DI GDI21
Our authentic V-TONE modeling technology recreates three of the most sought-after classic guitar amps, with three gain modes and three mic placements for a total of 27 possible configurations. You get a truckload of great amps in one convenient stomp box, allowing you to go from clean or crunch to super-fat distortion in a flash.
Extremely User-Friendly
Operation is simple; just choose the type of amp, from the smooth Calif (Californian), the bright, punchy Twed ( Tweed), or the Brit (British) with its incredible sustain and aggressive mids. Then select the gain mode, Cln (clean), Hot or Hi G (high gain). Lastly, choose the mic placement from the three available selections. This feature is a Behringer exclusive, allowing you to place the “virtual mic” in any of three positions: (OFF X)—At the edge of the speaker cone, producing a smoother, softer sound with less midrange content (CNTR)—Positioned at the center of the cone, for more upper mids and beefy low-end (CLSIC)—Slightly in front of the cabinet, for high midrange content with tons of definition
It’s a Tone Thing
We’ve also included a dedicated Drive control, for adjusting the amount of gain. This control effectively mimics the amount of push applied to the output stage of a tube amplifier, from a gentle nudge to full-out, tube-melting overdrive. Further tone shaping is provided by a highly musical 2-band EQ.
Versatility
The GDI21 can be used for direct recording output, with speaker simulation or, when used in bypass mode, as a superb active DI box. A 1⁄4" output jack is provided for connecting to your amp and the gold-plated, balanced XLR connector will link you cleanly to the front of house console. Ground loop problems are nonexistent, thanks to the onboard ground lift switch.
Sound Value
Whether you use it on the stage or for recording, the V-Tone Guitar GDI21 is the ultimate choice for musicians seeking an extremely versatile array of time-tested, classic tones. With the GDI21, you get the sound of three classic guitar amps and a superb DI box. Try one at your local Behringer dealer or order online today.

Turn Your Home Into a Hit Factory--In Seconds!
Hook the V-AMP3 up to your computer using the included 1/4" TRS-to-RCA cable and UCA222 USB interface. Connect V-AMP3 Phones output with the stereo line inputs of UCA222, and switch its direct monitoring function on. Then connect the UCA222 USB cable to your computer. You can monitor the signal with the UCA222's headphone jack. (This is also a great way to jam along with the MP3's on your computer). From there, the amazing energyXT2.5 DAW (digital audio workstation) makes it easy to manipulate your audio and MIDI files, turning song ideas into stunning CD or web-ready recordings. energyXT2.5 includes its own multi-FX processor, built-in synthesizers and a drum machine, both of which can be accessed by any controller keyboard, such as the UMA25S or UMX series, or programmed in step-write mode.
Any Classic You Like
The V-AMP 3's 32 amp models are organized into four groups: CLEAN, BLUES, METAL and ROCK. Just twist the dedicated dial to plug into unbelievably authentic simulations of the greatest British and American tube amps from the 1950s to today. You even get models of uncommon--yet renowned--boutique tube amps! When you select an amp model, a speaker cabinet model is automatically selected. But if you'd prefer a different model, just go to EDIT>CABINETS, then use the BANK UP/DOWN buttons to navigate through all 15 options.
Just like on an actual guitar amp, you've got a three-band EQ, GAIN, REVERB, VOLUME and MASTER VOLUME dials. By holding the TAP button, the TREBLE dial becomes a PRESENCE control. This enables the adjustment of a high-frequency filter that can add or remove a "shimmer" from the V-AMP 3's tone.
Top Tone--In Full Effect
The V-AMP 3 gives you flanger, chorus, compression, delay and 12 other beautiful digital effects to apply to your sound. Adjust the effect's level in the mix via the EFFECTS dial. To adjust effect parameters, you can rhythmically press the TAP button to alter delay times or LFO speeds, or hold down the TAP button and twist the EFFECTS knob to access e.g. feedback or depth. By using a MIDI pedal, such as the BEHRINGER FCB1010, you can access an additional Wah Wah effect. You can adjust the filter characteristic by entering EDIT mode, selecting the DRIVE menu and turning the EFFECTS knob while holding the TAP button.
Presenting the Presets
All of these elements have been combined into 125 different presets divided into 25 banks, accessible through the BANK UP/ BANK DOWN buttons. Within each bank, you can press buttons A through E to explore its different presets. You can also create and save your own presets. Start by selecting a preset, then making any changes you wish: amp, EQ, effect, etc. The preset LED will begin to flash, indicating that the V-AMP 3 is ready to save your settings. To do this, hold the preset button down for about two seconds. Once the LED stops flashing, you have saved the modified preset. On top of all this, the V-AMP 3 also features a built-in tuner and noise gate. In essence, it's a Swiss Army Knife for the home recording enthusiast or gigging guitarist who can't seem to settle on one amp.
Stunning in the Studio
The V-AMP 3 features several configurations that make it an invaluable asset in the studio. Access the configuration menu by pressing the B and D buttons at the same time. Then use BANK UP and BANK DOWN to select a configuration.
When using headphones, the V-AMP 3 will switch into Studio Mode 1 (S1). This stereo mode works well for both monitoring and recording with effects, amp and speaker modeling. It doesn't apply the additional three-band EQ to the signal, but most recording programs--like energyXT2.5--have their own EQ. In Studio Mode 2 (S2), the V-AMP 3 sends a signal with amp and speaker simulation, but only the right output has effects. You can either record both left and right outputs to separate tracks, or record the "dry" left output while monitoring the right output.
Stellar on Stage
The V-AMP 3 has three live configurations. When performing live with this device, you can either run it to an amp on stage, run directly to the mixing board, or both. Live Mode 1 is the best choice for running the outputs directly to the mixer, because it applies amp and speaker simulation, effects and an additional 3-band EQ.
Use Live Mode 2 to run the V-AMP 3 into the effects return inputs of 2 different guitar amps. This configuration does not feature speaker simulation, allowing the amplifier's natural speaker sound to go unaltered. In this scenario, the amps would be mic'd on stage to get the sound to the house speakers, and having a dedicated monitor would be less important. In Live Mode 3, you can send the left output to an amp's effects return for onstage volume, while the right output sends signal to the main mixer for inclusion in the main house mix. Also note that you can press the TAP key while turning the GAIN knob to adjust the input sensitivity to match the output of your guitar's pickups. If the CLIP LED lights, the input's sensitivity should be reduced.
Veni, MIDI, Vici
The V-AMP 3 comes fully equipped to fit right into a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) setup. It can be controlled in real time from a computer, or via a MIDI foot controller during a live performance. Its MIDI connectors are international-standard 5-pin DIN connectors. You will need dedicated MIDI cables (not included).
The MIDI IN jack receives MIDI controller data. It can be adjusted in EDIT mode by pressing the A button and then using the arrow keys. MIDI OUT/THRU sends data to a computer. You can transmit both preset data and parameter changes. Some people even use the V-AMP as a remote control for parameters of their DAW or VST instruments, which is more handy than using the mouse alone. If set to MIDI THRU, the V-AMP 3 does not send its own MIDI information, but passes on the signal received at the MIDI IN connector.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i plug this into an amplifier to add a distortion setting or plug it into a mixing board |
Answer: | Absolutely you can, do either. The distortions and amp cab simulations on this are better than machines costing considerably more money. It has balanced stereo line output can be configured for many recording and live applications. You can go into an amp, or into a mixer, or direct into a PC for recording as well. Thanks, Larry |
Question: | Is there a power button or do you need to unplug it every time |
Answer: | You need to unplug it every time. I don't really trust the plug at the back of the unit to hold up over time, so I just plugged my amp and the V-Amp into a switchable power strip. Now I just power down everything with that one switch and leave the V-Amp plugged in. |
Question: | Can I connect it to both my guitar and my stereo and play along with recorded music hearing me and the record thru headphones |
Answer: | Yes it has an Aux Input. I plug in my guitar and my MP3 through the Aux input, then headphones into the headphone jack. It works well and if you use the included UCA 222 interface that comes with it, you can hook it into a multi track recorder, mixing board or a computer to record what you're doing. Here is a link for the manual so you can do some research of your own. I hope this helps. http://www.behringer.com/assets/V-AMP%203_P0961_M_EN.pdf |
Question: | Can I connect this to my audio interface?? if so how |
Answer: | Plug left and right outputs in stereo channel on interface is recommended input for studio set up.Personally I prefer using the headphone jack with included adaptor stereo split RCA jacks into my mixing board going into my interface. |
- 5 effect modules including 15 effect types, providing you with a sound library.
- 40 meticulous designed drum rhythms, and equipped with tuning function.
- Total 32 patches: 16 preset patches and 16 user patches for you to create your own sound library.
- With 1/8" Aux in & headphone stereo jacks, and 1/4" input & output mono jacks.
- Dual power supply: DC 9V adapter(included) or 2 * AAA batteries (not included). With a metal buckle on the backside to hang it at the waist for convenient usage.
User questions & answers
Question: | Can the low BPM speed of the different rhythms be changed |
Answer: | Not sure what you mean by speaker. This is a pick-up that plugs into a guitar amp. The amp you use depends on your personal preference. I use this on an old Silvertone, tuned open D and play it through an old tube amp, all for a very specific sound. |
Question: | Does it have a tuner |
Answer: | No it is the small 1/8" you will need an adapter to run a 1/4' cable. |
Question: | Can I connect my laptop or mp3 player as aux in and play along |
Answer: | An electric guitar with two pickups benefits from the customizable sounds produced not MORE sound. In order to use two, you would have to rewire them so you could switch on or th other on/off. There would also need to be one at bridge and one near neck. I got ONE for a friend. He LOVES it. Good luck |
Question: | Does it have a bypass |
Answer: | No batteries needed. |

User questions & answers
Question: | P16 integration... I have many Sennheiser IEM EW300 G3's & love them - If I switch Presonus to X32 is there compelling IEM integration switch to P |
Answer: | It could possibly do that. This is a latching switch so its push on, push off, not momentary. I used to use one on my keyboard to hold notes so it will probably work for you. Try it. It wont damage your keyboard. |
Question: | Can we route/split 1 input (e.g. 1 mic input) into say 3 different inputs as if 3 mics all receiving the same audio source |
Answer: | That depends. This pedal does not ‘pass’ signal thru it. It only has has 1 jack so it only switches. So if you have an active subwoofer and it has a footswitch (on/off) 1/4” TS jack, then yes. Otherwise, no. Hooe this helps. |
Question: | How many years have you been having this unit for? Have you experienced any repairs |
Answer: | This is a foot switch for guitar amp channel control. |
Question: | What is the configuration of the expansion slot that the X32 ships with? Is it USB able to connect multi-track to PC? If so, how many channels |
Answer: | 16 AWG |

Question: | Does the ps7 ul have a center negative pin |
Answer: | No center negative pin |
Question: | I understand that its 9v. Does it work on guitar pedals too? Im running the mic200 in my bass rig. Wondering if i could hit two birds with one power |
Answer: | I use this with my mic200. It's 9V AC (Alternating Current) and most guitar pedals like BOSS, etc. run on 9V DC(Direct current). Plugging this into a guitar pedal that uses DC would probably ruin it. I made that mistake once on a keyboard, I plugged in a 9V AC instead of 9V DC and it wound up in the garbage. There are some multi-fx pedals by Line 6 and some others that run on 9VAC but always be sure to read on the pedal if it is AC or DC and be sure to use the correct power supply for that pedal. Cheers! |
Question: | I purchased a behringer system i need behringer replacement adapter input 120v/60/14w i cannot find can you please help me |
Answer: | What Behringer device are you trying to power? I can't tell what you need from the info in your question. |

User questions & answers
Question: | saludos es compatible con windows o con una laptops |
Answer: | I am not familiar with that particular amp. The purpose of this product is to model a wide variety of amps and pedals. It does this quite well, and it is very easy to operate both programming and using it to play (I use it on stage). I run it to a passive board and then to powered speakers. So, running it through a modeling amp isn't necessary. That being said, if you set the amp to play without effects, the sound quality will likely reflect the quality of that amp. This product will only make it sound better. |
Question: | Does this unit retain its mix settings after it powers off and back on again |
Answer: | Prolly... I think the screens are plastic... not actual glass. Mine is holding up pretty well tho... I've has it at least a year now and no scratches, but I am pretty careful with it. |
Question: | Is the Dugan enabled on this yet |
Answer: | I'm not a professional musician but friend of mine who are are very impressed with it, and believe it would work well live. mine is used mainly in a studio inviroment |
Question: | When recording will it be in separate channels |
Answer: | I ordered it, but stillI did not get it. They said that “ get it before Christmas “ but I did not get it. I bought for gift. May be I will return it. If I can not get by tomorrow. Thank you. |

3. Alternately, wired connections can be made directly to your PC, to a local area network (LAN), or when connecting to a dedicated Wifi router.
Revolutionary Auto-Mixing
When your application calls for a multiple-microphone setup, such as an onstage panel discussion, press conference or courtroom proceeding, etc., it can become a challenge to maintain so many open mics – and preserve maximum gain and priority for the moderator.
A major first for compact audio mixers, our revolutionary X AIR Gain Sharing technology can easily manage fully automated mixes with several live microphones. Based on the Dan Dugan automix system, the XR12’s gain sharing paradigm automatically controls the levels of all selected microphones in real time, without any gating artifacts or noise modulation.
This function dramatically reduces the typical feedback, studio noise and comb filtering challenges that can occur when two, or more mics are in close proximity of each another. X AIR Gain Sharing technology provides a consistent system gain structure, even when multiple speakers are talking at the same time.
4 Onboard X32 Effects Engines
Equipped with FX engines, the onboard virtual FX Rack provides access to four true-stereo (8 mono), multi-effects processors including delay, chorus, dynamics – plus the XR12 can run production-quality, true-stereo reverbs concurrently with 31-band EQ on the main and aux buses, all without the need for any additional hardware.
You can select any combination of high-end simulations of legendary studio effects, such as the Lexicon 480L and PCM70, as well as the EMT250 and Quantec QRS reverbs. Onboard processing means your computer doesn’t have to do the heavy lifting during a mixing session with DAW plugins as the XR12 has a whole studio of FX under it’s hood.
Custom-designed, and physically modelled after some of the most iconic processors, all effects run inside the low-latency environment of the X32 mix engine, ensuring flawless performance, flexible routing and the end of cable faults!
USB Connectivity and Stereo Recording
The front panel USB type-A connector makes the XR12 not only an amazingly powerful digital mixing solution, but also allows recording your live stereo tracks directly to attached USB flash media or hard drives. Dial in the perfect live mix with effects and zero-latency, while sending a dedicated stereo mix to your thumb drive for recording, or play background music in a break.
Whether you’re making rock history in the studio, or you want to capture intimate live performances – it’s never been easier to record stunning tracks with exceptional clarity.

The Behringer Paraphonic Analogue and Semi-Modular Synthesizer with Dual 3340 VCOs, Multi-Mode VCF, 2 ADSRs, BBD Delay and Overdrive Circuit in a Eurorack Format. The modern synthesizer's evolution began in 1919, when a Russian physicist named Lev Termen (also known as Leon Theremin) invented one of the first electronic musical instruments - the Theremin. It was a simple oscillator that was played by moving the performers hand in the vicinity of the instrument's antenna. An outstanding example of the Theremin's use can be heard on the Beach Boys iconic smash hit 'Good Vibrations'.In the late 1930s, French musician Georges Jenny invented what he called the Ondioline, a monophonic electronic keyboard capable of generating a wide range of sounds. The keyboard even allowed the player to produce natural-sounding vibrato by depressing a key and using side-to-side finger movements. You can hear the Ondioline on Del Shannon's 'Runaway'. Designed by famous piano manufacturer Story & Clark in association with RCA, the Storytone piano debuted at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair. Hailed as the worlds first electric piano, the Storytone is prized by musicians and collectors alike for its realistic piano sound only 500 or so were ever built. Finding a high level of acceptance in the 1960s, Harry Chamberlin's Mellotron was an electro-mechanical keyboard that generated sounds by playing back pre-recorded tape loops. Although tempermental and prone to pitch and mechanical issues, the Mellotron was used extensively by many U.K. artists. Classic tracks from the Moody Blues 'Days of Future Passed', the Beatles 'Strawberry Fields Forever', and the Rolling Stones 'She's a Rainbow' are prime examples.
- Paraphonic synthesizer with authentic dual 3340 analog oscillators for insanely fat music creation
- Pure analog signal path based on legendary VCO design to recreate classic sound performance
- Semi-modular architecture with default routings requires no patching for immediate performance
- Oscillator waveform control blends seamlessly between 5 shapes (tone mod, pulse, sawtooth, triangle, sine)
- Individual pulse width / tone mod control provides ultimate sounds
User questions & answers
Question: | Does this one come with 120v or 240v power supply since it’s being shipped from the UK |
Answer: | The power adapter has a plug that is specific to the region that it is shipped from. You will probably need to get an equivalent one for your region. |
Question: | Will my Moog 104 skiff fit into this rack |
Answer: | Probably not. I have both types of stands, and the hole locations are different due to the Moog skiffs being deeper. The mounting holes are the same, it’s the hole openings for the bottom that are different. |
Question: | If I mount 2 neutrons, can I mount them in the top 2 tiers or will the lack of weight on the bottom cause the stand to be off balance |
Answer: | My opinion is that the stand will be fine in that use case: it's very solid and well constructed. I have a Neutron and a Model D in mine (top row and bottom row). |

Question: | can i use this to hook up my 6505+ to my m-box |
Answer: | If you have the combo version, it has an XLR out already, so no DI required. The head version doesn't seem to have this option, so you could use the preamp out, but I'm not sure if you could hear a difference between using a DI or running the 1/4" into the line level input of the M-Box. You'll lose the tone you get from the power amp tubes either way. The main point of a DI is to convert a 1/4" instrument signal to a balanced XLR signal if you're going into a stage snake. Effectively running a 50' or 100' 1/4" cable will generally introduce noise and reduce signal quality, so the DI is a great option. I've used this passive DI box in live situations for the past year, and it's worked like a champ. I run my tracks (from an iPod) through it. |
Question: | Can this reduce a speaker level signal to a line level signal? E.g. if I wanted to take a speaker level and connect it to a mixer |
Answer: | YES. The other answers are not accurate. This device as well as many other DI Boxes can make a Line Level 'copy' of the high power signal going to a speaker. This is a common use however this yes comes with a major caveat. The source (1/4 " INPUT) can be a highly amplified signal, such as the speaker output of a 100W guitar amplifier. The output signal (XLR OUTPUT) will be what the mixer wants (Line Level). CAVEAT: There must be a load connected to the THRU (Parallel OUT on this device). This load can be a speaker or speaker load simulator, basically what you would normally connect to the amp. Without a load connected, no signal flows and nothing will be output. Worse yet, without a load connected, many amps will fry. Amp to DI box to Speaker(1/4" OUT) and Mixer (XLR OUTPUT) is commonly used by guitarists. This allows the PA Mixer or Recording Audio Interface to get all the good sound that the guitar signal chain has built, only missing coloring from the speaker cabinet. If needing your speakers to be silent while still getting a good output on the XLR, adding a decent amp Attenuator or Load Simulator after the DI Box can reduce the power reaching the speaker to or near zero. Note: Many higher end Attenuators and Load Simulators have a built in DI Box. |
Question: | I want to record digital piano and play live at church. Should I get Pyle-Pro PDC21 for $8 or is this significantly better |
Answer: | A normal DI box is $50 so I wouldn't go too much lower than this. These seem to work well. I've only had one go bad in the past year or so and I purchased like 8 for my church. |
Question: | Does this work for connecting the sound output from a PC or MP3 player into a PA system using a Stereo 1/8" TRS to Mono 1/4" TS cable |
Answer: | Yes that should be fine! :) You would also need an XLR to connect the DI Box to the PA. |
