On Sierra, I tested it against USB-c, which is the smaller port found on newer (2017 and forward) Macbook Pros. I used a USB-c to USB-a adapter to do so. It worked fine.

Answer:	i bought this item over 5yrs ago and it is long dead. the light scribe did come with it ,again, many years ago. I dont know why you'd want to use the more expensive discs ,they never do work well, hard to read , not very dark and, most important, leads to a faster demise of the laser. it burns out the laser much faster when i burnt light scribe discs. i have made over 2,000 dvds over the years. i now just invest in hard drives and back up to them . the stuff on the hard drives load much faster and no need to open/close the dvd player/burner every time. on the drive can do one right after the other. i guess for light use light scribe is fine and for that ok. i bought dvds by the 100 pack and liked it much better when i hand labeled them. and my HP 20x , and 16x drives lasted twice as long. i used 3 1040s and 2 other HP external as well as lite on and samsung and sony. lite scribe ones only lasted 12months , one only 9months with high use. i am only doing personal stuff, too.

Answer:	No it is only a range extender. It has to be fairly close to the router, but it broadcasts a long way. The Alpha extender will pick up from a much further distance. I have both and I use the Alpha.

Answer:	I had responded to your question but was talking about my Trendnet N150 wireless router so I deleted that post and replaced it with this one. I did purchase the Trendnet N300 extender but had mixed results with that. If you put the extender far enough away from the wireless router you're using, it may work fine in your situation. The problem I had was my phone and tablet would try to switch back and forth (it picked up both signals) and I wound up losing connections all the time. The only way it worked for me was to put it far away from my wireless ISP router and then only plugged it in while I was in that area of the house. It became such an issue for me that I stopped using it and purchased the Trendnet TEW732-BR (N150 wireless router) and just turned off my ISP router's WIFI function. The TEW732 has an external antenna and the signal worked everywhere in my 2,800 sq ft home. I simply used a network cable from my ISP modem to the Trendnet TEW732/N150 unit and turned off my ISP router's WIFI function. Hope this helps.
