Answer:	All the ones I'm familiar with have the antenna coax cable factory fastened to the antenna base.

Answer:	The antenna is a 36" solid stainless steel rod. There is some flex in it but if bent over too far it would kink or possibly break. I rough water is can whip around pretty good so don't mount it too close to something that it could slap against.

Answer:	No, you have to solder the end. A small craft pencil soldering tool and a small amount of solder will do it. Takes about 10 minutes. Make sure the braided shield does not touch the hard wire. See a You Tube video on replacing the end on coaxial cable.

If you see this card available for $499, please advise this is almost a guaranteed scam attempt from someone trying to make a quick buck and take advantage of others. Also 2 grand does seem however this card in particular is in very high demand and low supply. We at LFG Depot have never listed it for that amount and are sorry. Answer:	Victor, We don't use these in an offshore application. We use these antenna on our autos and boats near or on the Mississippi River in NE MO. We don't have a long range open line of sight, like an offshore use. We have obstructions, (hills, bluffs and tree tops and the river winds through the country side.) We can communicate averaging 6-10 miles. With our longest line of sight being 1-2 miles, these work well for our need. We mount these on the highest points of our vessels, that is what you want the - least amount of interference. I hope this will help you in your decision making. They are a good product and I would recommend them.
