Answer:	Not sure but it is doing it's job with no problems.

Answer:	There is already some thermal compound on the heatsink (if new).

Answer:	The clips are integrated into the socket on the 2950 v.iii. Just make sure you remove the fans near the socket first (helps with room for your hand). The heat sink comes with a layer of tim on it so with a clean processor just open the clips, remove the socket cover, drop the cpu into the socket, close the socket, stick on the heatsink, close the 2 clips and you are done. It took me about 10 minutes to do 2.
