F above ambient. The fan kept things cool. If you search the Evercool in Google Images, you can see how 2.5" and 3.5 " drives look in the adapter.

Example, if a bay space has room for four hard drives you can fit two hard drives with each of the hard drives having this fan attached. In reality, you double the depth of one hard drive. Question:	I have an 8 space rack and most illustrations I've see recommend a unit at both top and bottom. Will 1 of these be adequate
Answer:	you literally have to physically take the fans out and flip them. Not hard though, I did this after talking to the cloudplate folks. You lay the unit down face down, remove the screws, take the back off, and flip the fans one by one. Make sure the power cables are out of the way, and close it back up. That's it. Super easy as I actually had to do this as well.
Question:	What's the difference between the T7 and X
Answer:	this server fan can installed by two ways, you can either blow warm air out of the case or draw cool air into your case.

Answer:	The dock will open unless you fasten the hinged part, too. Even then, I wouldn't recommend hanging it upside down. There hard drive is not secured into the plastic.

Answer:	It's temperature controlled, fan runs very quietly, although it might spin faster and make more noise if the drive gets really hot - mine never does, I don't use it long enough to find out - just do data file back ups and system images, so I don't have it running more than an hour or so at the most.

Question:	Can this be left connected and powered on? When I shut the PC down will the enclosure shut down as well or do I need to manually flip the switch
Answer:	Mr. Ivey, I can only respond according to my personal opinion and experience with this fan unit. I have mine mounted in a 4 space rack in the bottom location in the back of the rack. My configuration sucks air in from the outside and brings it up through the cabinet to be pushed out near the top. The only real heat producing item I have in the rack is a Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp which has tubes, but they are rather small (12-AX7's and 12-AT7) 4 or 5 of them inside. This setup is not going to produce a great deal of heat anyway, but I wanted to play it safe so I installed the exhaust fan assembly to help the air movement inside the cabinet. If I had any type of tube power amp inside or multiple tubed components other than the one preamp, and was using an eight space rack, I would probably want an additional fan near the top to aid in pulling the warm air out from the inside. If most of the components were solid state, I would probably use only the one fan assembly. I hope this helps in your decision. Thanks and good luck with your purchase!

Answer:	I carefully freed the heat sensor wire from the two clips holding the wire close to the side of the Rosewill case. Then, using the tape strip provided by Rosewill, I taped the end of the sensor wire to the flat metal plate of the disk drive. I positioned the end of the sensor wire as follows: half way from the disk’s short edge, and about a third of the way from the disk’s long edge. (The sensor wire isn’t long enough to reach the middle of the disk’s long edge). Works great!

Answer:	In the picture it may look like a toaster, but it is not (some reviewers had a sense of humor!).YES. I see no reason why it would not work as a back up drive.I use it as an external drive though. I'm using SyncToy 2.1. and iDrive.
Question:	Why can I eject a single drive (on dual station) from my computer but can't physically remove it from station without ejecting other drive
Answer:	Cloning NEVER requires PC connection. Cloning steps: 1. Plug source drive into HDD1 slot, plug target drive into HDD2 slot. 2. Connect power supply and turn on power. 3. Press and hold "Copy" button for about 10 seconds. Copy (cloning) operations begins. Size of target drive must be equal to or larger than size of source drive. There is no warning about the size of the relative drives as cloning is a hardware only operation (no interface of any kind since no PC is connected). You can tell that cloning has started by the color and flashing of the LED indicator. When the indicator stops flashing, the cloning operation is complete. Also, in my experience, any excess capacity on the target drive is LOST FOREVER. Despite the many articles I can find that describe how to partition the left over space, ALL partition managers I have tried identify the additional space as "unallocated" but the "New Simple Volume..." option for that space is disabled. Likewise the "Extend Volume..." option of the cloned partition is disabled. My best suggestion for cloning to to clone identical drives.

Hard Drive Duplicator Function

1. Insert Both hard drives and identify Source Disk and Target Disk

Answer:	If your 2.5" drive is 12.5mm thick; then yes, it still fits, but will be a little tight for any case you buy.

Answer:	The computer is not part of the equation. This can be treated by a stand alone process and will duplicate bit for bit. Meaning it will not care what the OS or current format structure.
Question:	Will this case happen to fit the x825 expansion board with pi? It also takes a 2.5 inch hdd/ssd. It looks like it would from pictures

Question:	Can i remove the HDD trays and front fans and mount 12 5.25 bays? I have 3 iStarUSA Hot-Swap HDD Cages and want to mount them in this case
Answer:	Yes it will accommodate an EATX board. I have a dual CPU Opteron board (H8DAE-2) in my home media server using this case - no issues.
Question:	Can you remove the 3.5" HD cages and replace them with Hot Swap Cages? Measuring the cages in the pictures it appears hot swap cages would fit
Answer:	That is completely up to you. With a minimum purchase, yes the 4 screws would hold the entire weight of the contents. The screws should be able to support the weight, but they may be difficult to position in order to tighten them. I bought a set of rails for the bottom case of my rack. Another option would to be to install the case in your rack empty, and then add the contents. That postpones any problems until you need to service anything inside. If you do buy the rails, the bottom machine can support the next machine until you get those screws tightened.

Answer:	As others, yes! However,using the 2700x for encodes is fast but not happy with temps with stock Wraith cooler, with all cores at 100%. CPU at 95.1C (Tctl) or 85.1C (Tdie), your choice. The stock fan has a down flow so was cooking MB, RAM and 970 Evo+ located right below the Wraith cooler. I changed out fan only for encodes, ymmv.
