Question: I have the ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F GAMING AMD Ryzen AM4 motherboard, can i pop this in and i am good to go? do i need a 2nd gen ryzen first to set bios
Answer: As others, yes! However,using the 2700x for encodes is fast but not happy with temps with stock Wraith cooler, with all cores at 100%. CPU at 95.1C (Tctl) or 85.1C (Tdie), your choice. The stock fan has a down flow so was cooking MB, RAM and 970 Evo+ located right below the Wraith cooler. I changed out fan only for encodes, ymmv.
