Answer:	i bought this item over 5yrs ago and it is long dead. the light scribe did come with it ,again, many years ago. I dont know why you'd want to use the more expensive discs ,they never do work well, hard to read , not very dark and, most important, leads to a faster demise of the laser. it burns out the laser much faster when i burnt light scribe discs. i have made over 2,000 dvds over the years. i now just invest in hard drives and back up to them . the stuff on the hard drives load much faster and no need to open/close the dvd player/burner every time. on the drive can do one right after the other. i guess for light use light scribe is fine and for that ok. i bought dvds by the 100 pack and liked it much better when i hand labeled them. and my HP 20x , and 16x drives lasted twice as long. i used 3 1040s and 2 other HP external as well as lite on and samsung and sony. lite scribe ones only lasted 12months , one only 9months with high use. i am only doing personal stuff, too.

Answer:	I just bought a new desktop PC. It did not have a DVD player to install certain software so I bought this. It comes with a dual adapter and works just fine via USB 3.0 with Win 10.
