User questions & answers

Question: What are the requirements for a mic that works on the input? i've tried a couple of unpowered mics with 3.5mm ts plugs, and one trs, none work
Answer: A Condenser microphone that takes 3-5v input will work.
Question: would be running a micro usb to female usb type A from my phone to this, then a 3.5mm headpone cable from this to a bluetooth speaker to enhance sound
Answer: Yes. But it has to be OTG type cable and the phone should be Android.
Question: can the headphone and mic be used at the same time through this? like, to make a skype call to head and speak (some only allow one to work at a time
Answer: Yes. The USB input is self contained, has a symbol for where to plug in the mic and where to plug in the speaker. A headset with two plugs can be used, or two different lines with a separate set of speakers. This works with any app like your regular speakers and mic would work. You cannot use both an input on your computer and the USB input at the same time for speakers. You would choose which device, like switching between monitor speakers, and switching to a bluetooth speaker, or switching to the USB.
Question: Will this be suitable for connecting from computer to stereo receiver with an rca to stereo plug adapter cable? my concern is mostly signal quality
Answer: Yes! You can output the sound to your stereo, And about the quality, just like the title says, Low White Noise, that's a real description, not for scamming or making sales out of it, the chip that this USB was made from is CMEDIA, The same chip Blue microphone is using, you can take it apart and look!

Question: Is this just the Audio+? Is the Mic+ still available

Question: Are you able to get this working running Retropie
Answer: With great difficulty I got it working in combo with a LCD and battery shield giving me a portable retropie
Question: How do I attach the 2 jacks
Answer: The audio 3.5mm jack is aleady connected, the RCA connector needs to be inserted then soldered in position.
Question: Is this only audio output or is it also stereo analog input
Answer: Output only, I think. There is very little information on this thing. Mine didn't come with the RCA connectors, but tracing the leads on my board that go to the RCA connectors, they connect to 3.5 stereo connector. I used this board on a Zero, and my Zero setup didn't really like alsa audio, and it really wants HiFiBerry. The application wanted Alsa, so, I'm using the Phat DAC on the Zero, and I got a VAlinks 6 Channel External Sound Card $12.79 (USB to Input and output) The output has stereo, 5.1, and fiber in and out. The input has both Mic and Consumer Line levels. Small box works on both Pi3 and Zero.

    User questions & answers

Question: Can this be used to talk with a mic
Answer: If you have a headset/mic with a single combo 3.5 mm male connector you should be able to use a headphone splitter, 3.5 mm female combo to dual male 3.5 mm headphone and mic connectors.
Question: Do I need to have built-in sound card in my laptop to use this
Answer: I believe that even if a laptop/PC did have a built-in sound card, this wouldn't use it since sound cards don't accept USB input. It would connect directly to the motherboard, eliminating the need for the sound card in the first place. I am not exactly sure about this information, but this is what makes sense to me.
Question: Will this work with Windows
Answer: I have tried with 3 different windows 10 machines and cannot get the microphone to work. Maybe I got a defective product but cannot tell because all my devices are windows 10. Running 2020 update for windows 10
Question: I would like to use two of these in a PC at the same time to get two microphone inputs to create a Karaoke PC. Has anyone tried
Answer: No it will not work, because you only can dedicate one USB connection as your default playback device. But you can do what you want with only one unit by using a microphone splitter to attach to the (RED) hole and connect the other end to the two microphones. You can use a splitter like " RLCAB095 - Stereo Audio Input Splitter". Google it.
