| Answer: | No, it doesn't work with the A6000....but there is a relationship that you need to understand to know which adapter to buy. This adapter allows the use of Multi-Interface (MI) Shoe devices (like a flash) with cameras that have the older Auto-Lock Accessory Shoe (like a Sony A57 which I own). I had a NEX-6 and now I own an A6000. I also have a flash (HVLF20M) which has a Multi-Interface connection. So, because I wanted to use this flash with my A57, I needed to buy this ADP-AMA shoe adapter. The NEX-7 has the old shoe, that's why this adapter is needed with it. The NEX-6 had the MI shoe as does all other Alpha cameras built after the NEX-6.So, from the point of view of the A6000, this adapter is not needed. On the other hand, if you want to use older devices (with some limitations of course) with your A6000 (or other MI camera), Sony sells a similar adapter that does the opposite of this one (i.e., let you use older devices with the new MI shoe). The part number for that adapter is: ADP-MMA (just one letter change...the M after ADP). I hope this answers your question. If not, please comment again with more details on what you want to do. |
