Question:	How do you guys store this mouse in like a backpack or the similar, since there's no off button
Answer:	I’ve owned this mouse before and if nothing’s changed it will turn off and stay off if it doesn’t receive a signal from the receiver. So if you sleep your computer and press the mouse button, it turns off because there’s no reply. It won’t turn back on until it gets a signal from the receiver again.
Question:	is the mouse wheel smooth or does it click
Answer:	I just started using mine today, the mouse wheel has soft clicks (you feel it), and sometimes you will hear it if you scroll fast. I would NOT want this for gaming but for casual or office use its seems nice, my only complaint is the L/R keys are a bit louder than I like, and might disturb others if your doing a lot of clicking.

Answer:	It has an ON switch that is very annoying. After some time (5-10 min) the mouse goes to sleep. It must be woken up by pressing the button below the scroll wheel. If you walk away or pause for 10 minutes you MUST press the button. It seems like I press the dumb button 10x per day. It's not horrible, but it certainly doesn't deserve to be in a 4.5-5 star mouse. I'd give it 3 at most because of this dumb design, and I will probably replace it with something a bit ... smarter.

Answer:	As the other individuals have answered, this mouse does take a double A battery, but please note that the battery compartment is super tight, so a rechargeable battery (eneloop pro's) don't fit into this device. Kind of disappointing, as all I use anymore is rechargeable batteries.

If you are "spatially" (Sp?) challenged, as I am, you will need to actually see this before hanging blinds. 1) The plastic brackets are shaped like an "L". 2) Turn the bracket over so it looks like an upside down "L". 3) There will be a "protrusion" with a lip on the front side of the upside down "L". Put this lip under the TOP lip of FRONT side the blind. 4) With this lip in place in the front portion of the blind header, the bracket will have the word "TOP" on the top of the bracket. 5) Push hard with both thumbs on the "TOP" of bracket, while pushing in on the back side of the blind header. 6) The protrusion that has "press" stamped on it will snap into place on the bottom edge of the back header of the blind. 7) Remove bracket from blind. Mark where brackets will go, Being CERTAIN the portion of the bracket that says "TOP" will be the part that will screwed in to the sheetrock. Answer:	It's not rechargeable, it runs off a single AA battery. I've only had it a month but have not had to change the battery yet. I use it everyday for at least an hour. Question:	Does this mouse have something similar to BlueTrack where it works on all surfaces
Answer:	I'm assuming Bluetrack would mean the LED is Blue. (and this is an Optical Mouse. This isn't a Laser Mouse :( ) Dad wants me to set it up and I couldn't believe you can see the wires thru the LED aiming lens smh... Nothing says cheap than wires you can actually see. but for $10 where can you go wrong. Still while it's probably more useable than a non Darkfield Laser Mouse. Answer:	Yes it does. Everything works except the side buttons. Also you can edit the speed,scrolling, and etc. in settings in mouse options. I have the Macbook early 2014 running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.3

Answer:	Yes there is an internal slot in the compartment where the mouse battery is stored.
Question:	Do the side buttons work when using it on a mac? What commands (if any) are they bound to
Answer:	The side buttons do not work out of the box. However, in the Systems Preferences>Accessibility>Switch Control side bar>Switches tab, there are 4 built in system commands: Restart from top, Select item, Move to next item, Stop scanning, as well as executing Apple scripts when a side button is pressed. If you want more commands or don't know how to program in Apple script, I recommend downloading BetterTouchTool (Free). You can bind the side button to any keyboard shortcut. In my case, I bind them to command- and command-, which is the command for back a page, forward a page respectively for almost all apps (Chrome, Safari, Finder etc.)

Answer:	No, but this thing does not use that much power even at 1600 dpi, I change batteries every 8-12 months . Buy a pack of amazon triple AAA and you'll have enough batteries for life. Great mouse I use for gaming (CODCW/BF4) and in the office for graphic design. Great mouse, not cheap at almost $30 but best in it's price range. Light weight rubbery feel.
Question:	Does this work with OSX Mavericks? Is there a work around to get the thumb buttons to work
Answer:	So, I just bought this on 8/2020. I'm on a mac and the back/forward thumb buttons are working normally out of the box; I didn't do anything. I knew they weren't suppose to, but perhaps Anker fixed this?
Question:	How is its battery life
Answer:	Depends on usage, I'd guess, but my mouse has been working well ever since I bought it (8-10-2015), without needing batteries replaced very often, at all. Recently, I noticed it was needing batteries more often, so just to be sure, I dated the last pair I put in - 3.5 months ago. I was annoyed to have to change them again so soon, as I've usually long since forgotten about batteries, the next time it dies, but this time was close enough to recall. I put in the new batteries, but the mouse was still dead. Not sure if the old batteries are even dead yet (but the mouse is, hence my being here looking to replace it). If you consider 3.5 months to be a fast death to the batteries, then this is the shortest time to death I've had in the 5 years I've had this mouse. Lots of others seem cool with it needing changing every 2 months, but I found 3.5 a bit soon, so just depends on expectations. I kinda think close to a year is more like it. Of course, I only use my mouse 3-5 hours a day, 7 days a week, so perhaps I've just been really lucky so far. Either way, 5 years is by far the longest I've ever had a mouse last (by about 4 years!), and the money I save on annual mouse replacement will more than offset any battery usage issues that may develop. I also like the feel of this mouse better. Once you get used to it, you will too. Certainly helps with my wrist problems (carpal tunnel), and arthritis).
Question:	I have small hands and also wrist pain problem from traditional mouse. Is this a good option for me
Answer:	I have small hands as well. It is not the best size for me. Too BIG. For more information about my hand size, Logitech m310 and m325 is too small. Logitech m705 is a little big. Logitech m510 and m525 is good to grab but ther are heavy because of 2AA batteries. TeckNet 2600DPI Bluetooth Wireless Mouse is the best size I've found so far. I hope Anker produces a smaller version of it. Regarding wrist pain, it is helpful if you are well adapted in this weird shaped mouse.
