Answer:	I no longer know about mounting holes. I bought one. It was the cheapest soundbar avaialble. A European firm bought the RCA brand name and makes the brand available to sell products. I had one that worked for less than six months. It wore out before the warranty. I got a new one. for nothing. The next one worked a little longer but beyond the warranty and wal-mart wouldn't take it back. I decided I didn't want sound bars anymore. Later I found a way to bump computer video easily onto a 1080 fllat screen tv from both my apple and microsoft computers, so I don't need a sound bar any longer.

I didn't have and cord that ran to the TV and couldn't have used it if I wanted to, because there were no outputs that would provide audio out from any of the 3 HDTV sets, two of them smart, that I own. I first bought a visio and it died in a week. I turned it back, bought the rca you're talking about. That one dropped dead in two months and I exchanged it at Wal-Mart, where I bought all of these, for another just like it. The last one stopped working after seven months. When I tried to exchange it, Wal Mart said I'd had it beyond the guarantee or something like that. An explanation about your cord question: I placed the RCAs and the Visio earlier, front of the TV set. I ran audio out thru a 2 ended stereo fitting that attached directly to my macbook. I got better sound from the sound bar than from the macbook I was playing it from. After going through 3 of them, and not being able to get my money back or an exchange, I decided soundbars are essentially worthless junk that wear out in no time. I junked the one I couldn't turn in and went back to listening to video sound directly from the computer speakers. I've been operating happily that way since. RCA the label is simply an old brand name borrowed from its European owner for a price, and put on American products that are very often cheap, unreliable junk. There's no reason to trust GE, RCA, any of those old TV set and appliance names any longer. Those companies are essentially defunct.
