I failed to pay attention to that (my fault, not Amazon's) and am ordering a different cable that will support my 2440x1560 monitor.

Question:	I just received this today. Mine does not have a backlight on it. More importantly some of my keys don't even work. Anyone have any idea why

Answer:	I'm not sure, but my "1" and all of the numbers or symbols are never illuminated. I think I turned off the keyboard illumination as soon as I connected the keyboard. It's been so long ago I don't remember how I turned off the illumination but I do recall that there were instructions on how to turn off the glow.
