Answer:	The newer MacBooks have a butterfly mechanism, which provides for very short travel and a firm feel, but which has had problems with dirt getting under the keys and incapacitating the keyboard. Apple may or may not have fixed this with a dirt barrier in the 2018 version. The magic keyboard has a scissor mechanism, which has proven to be reliable, and it has been reengineered for a shorter travel. It takes some getting used to, but I'm really getting to like it. Answer:	Yes, you can pair multiple devices to host system. Just be aware that the more bluetooth devices you pair (especially older ones and new ones at the same time) the bluetooth can lag because it keeps switching the different bluetooth revisions. Normally it's not too bad but every once in a while it will freeze for a moment on my Mac (and in the tech logs it talks about bluetooth connectivity failed to connect, but it clears in a minute. If you have more than one computer or device where you would want to use the keyboard (such Apple TV) they can be paired with multiple devices but you must switch the input or turn bluetooth off (or disable the device) on the one you don't want to use the keyboard at present. This is only an issue if both the laptop & Mac are both turned on at the same time and within bluetooth range of each other.

Answer:	Don’t know why. Mine work. One negative I have found is that when you start typing there is a delay in the words printing. It may start showing up about the third word which is very annoying. Answer:	This keyboard is compatible with Apple iMac computers and are no where near like the Apple keyboard, this particular one has too many keys and they're to the right of the keyboard with numbers and other keys, really quite big and long...its taking me a while to get used to it because you really have to strike on the keys with more force than the Apple keyboard and it seems like the keys are somewhat more separated, at least thats how I feel and sometimes I can miss a certain letter key, the only reason I bought this is because it's lit which is what I was looking for, overall its an Ok keyboard...if Apple would make a lighted one I would definitely go with them and another thing is that upon striking on the keys, its quite noisy, if you're Ok with that than its your choice, I just wish it wasn't as noisy because my small Apple one is nice and very quiet...

Answer:	I'm both older and "old school", so the return to raised keys was not only easy, but very welcome. I learned to "keyboard", i.e., type, in a ninth-grade typing class on an electric typewriter many years ago and I too have problems with low-built keys. I use only raised-key, full-sized keyboards now.

Answer:	If you are referring to Apple’s white-and-clear keyboards which came with the iMac G5 computer, then yes, this is similar, but not identical. Those older keyboards (shown at this link: http://media.softwarebilliger.de/images/products/apple-wireless-tastatur.jpg ) had a visible curve from the top row of keys to the bottom row. The Macally keyboard doesn’t, but the keys are angled to give a similar effect. The feel of typing is very similar, but this keyboard does not have built-in USB ports to plug the mouse in. The back lighting is extremely useful, with a few levels of brightness to choose from, or you can turn it off if you don’t need the backlight. The keys travel about a centimeter when pressed, similar to the old Apple keyboards.

If your computer has an older version of the Bluetooth “Link Management Protocol” (LMP)—earlier than 4.0—you will need to plug a dongle into an available USB port in order to pair this product to your machine, but this will not be an issue for computers manufactured within the last few years.

Question:	had this for a week and it just stopped working. its plugged in so what could be wrong
Answer:	I don't know, but mine seems to be doing the same thing. If I didn't need a keyboard for my Mac I'd send it back. My caps lock light seems to work fine in the morning but by lunch time it's not. My shift key seems to be hanging up as well.

Answer:	My Macally Ultra-Slim keyboard does not have a port to connect a wired mouse. The standard slim keyboards provided by Apple with desktop purchases used to have one or more USB ports. I do not know whether the Apple keyboards still do.

Answer:	there is no usb port to hook up your mouse. you end up losing a usb port on your computer to accommodate the mouse. ugh.
