User questions & answers
Question: | does it work with windows |
Answer: | Yep. I upgraded my computer to Windows 10 a week ago and it works fine with the system. |
Question: | Can someone please answer clearly: does this product come with a unifying (orange starburst symbol) receiver or not |
Answer: | I just return mine as it was not the Unified Receiver model nor was the keyboard the k330; I needed it so that I could pair it with my M570 Logitech Trackball. The box did indeed say MK320, it just didn't match the product page or items included in the box that is in the description. |
Question: | does this have one receiver |
Answer: | The MK335 does have a Logitech unifying USB Receiver |
Question: | Is the mouse quiet |
Answer: | This mouse is not quiet. I will probably use my old one since it is quiet. This makes a loud noise when you scroll. I was ordering the key board which I like and the mouse was just an added benefit so it will end up in the drawer. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Where does the pop up appear on the monitor caps lock? May send it back as a deal breaker. Thanks |
Answer: | I love the keyboard but I'm like the others, its VERY FRUSTRATING when you don't know if the cap lock is on or off when you go to put passwords in websites!! Looks to me like it should be a easy fix of other keyboards can do it!! |
Question: | Is this keyboard silent or do they keys make noise while typing |
Answer: | No, it's not silent. They make plenty of noise. If you need a more silent, less "clackety" type of keyboard look elsewhere. The price is good on these keyboards but the feel of the keys are less "spongy" than most. That being said, if that doesn't matter the extra keyboard/mouse buttons are very nice. |
Question: | does it have a cord |
Answer: | The cord that was supplied is use to extend the location of the wire less adapter. If the only available usb is located in the back you can use the cord to extend it closer to the mouse and key board if using a desk top. On a laptop I guess you don't have to worry about it. |
Question: | mac compatible |
Answer: | Mixed messages, will this work with a Mac docking station or not? Keyboard and mouse? |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this work with a iPad |
Answer: | I dont think so. The keyboard combo requires to match with a usb port of bluetooth. But iPad has no usb port to put on that Bluetooth usb. |
Question: | will this work with samsung dex |
Answer: | Don’t buy this, it broke in 2 days upon buying. Highly recommend a different set up |
Question: | Does this work with a macbook pro |
Answer: | Yes it does. Just plug the included usb receiver in and you're good to go. MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) - macOS Mojave 10.14.5 |
Question: | the mouse is a little laggy and i'm only sitting maybe eight feet from the receiver. any way to fix that or is that a side effect of a cheap combo |
Answer: | You may be experiencing USB 3 interference on your 2.4 GHz mouse/keyboard connection. It's a well known issue in the industry but few consumers have even heard of it. Google "usb 3.0 2.4 ghz interference" and read up. It can definitely cause the lag problem. Bottom line- don't plug your nano-receiver into or anywhere near a USB 3 port. If you have no choice, use a USB extension for the nano-receiver. It's not the distance between your keyboard and the receiver, it's the distance between your nano-receiver and any USB 3 port. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work with a Samsung un40eh5300fxza that appears to be running under Linux |
Answer: | Yes it works with several versions of Linux that I have on several computers. Just plug & play on my machines. You won't get keyboard customizations provided with Logitech software though. Linux recognizes it as an ordinary keyboard on my machines. I guess you can check if the company's website has Linux software for customization settings, but I didn't bother because it works. I use these for computers connected to home entertainment centers, not for my primary computers. So they don't get typed on much because they're used mostly to navigate & use media. Nonetheless, the letters on several keys rubbed off after just a couple moths of very light use. A year later almost half the keys don't have letters on them anymore. I never had letters rub off keyboards before, & I've used dozens of them. I'm typing this on a HP keyboard (my favorite) built in 1999. None of the letters are wore off after extremely heavy usage for almost 2 decades. |
Question: | Has anyone used this with a Steam link device? Any issues |
Answer: | I just got this today specifically to try on steam link. Yes, it does work and at a surprising distance. Track pad and keyboard working. So for steam link users :) this keyboard does work. |
Question: | Has the build quality improved? The original K400 left a lot to be desired in this area (letters rubbing off, mushy keys, creaky flexing body |
Answer: | Just arrived and used it for 2 days. Met my expectations as a couch keyboard. The trackpad works well and the left-mouse-button key at the top left is rather handy. Build quality is fine given its price, but definitely inferior to the K480 and K800 that I have. Haven't used the original K400, but haven't seen yet (it's been 2 days only) the old problem of letters rubbing off. Keyboard body is reasonably solid. Don't expect this to be your day-to-day working keyboard -- the keys are too soft for a good typing experience. |
Question: | has anyone used this to connect via bluetooth? i am looking to connect an android smartphone and a surface pro |
Answer: | It's not bluetooth but In the case of the Surface Pro 3 you can connect the usb transceiver of the keyboard to the usb port of the surface (if you don't have space in the port you can buy an usb hub to connect multiple usb divices including the usb tranceiver of the keyboard). In the case of an Android smartphone also you can use it but you need to buy an OTG cable (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LN3LQKQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_aV3rxbAXHV1FH) and connect the tranceicer to the android device, it would work (I proved in Galaxy Alpha, S6, Tab S2, Motorolas and works perfect) |

User questions & answers
Question: | can i change the keyboard press resistance? It feels too spongy/resistant to me. I prefer a hard press even with more noise |
Answer: | Yes, this is a stock keyboard that is relatively "high end" construction. I don't know of any way to emulate the snappy feel of a scissors switch, but otherwise you can tune the keyboard response. I find it difficult to change the feel of the function keys. |
Question: | My biggest complaint of the MK710 was lack of laser etched keys because they fade and wear off. Is this fixed or improved |
Answer: | Key caps do fade and wear off quickly. |
Question: | Can you remove the palm rest part of keyboard so it uses less space |
Answer: | No. It's all one molded piece. |
Question: | Lots of reports of skipped keys right after sleep, does this mostly apply to bluetooth or are you seeing this with the unified usb connector too |
Answer: | I'm using unified usb connector. Have not noticed skipped keys. However, I always count on things like this and allow a few seconds for the system to wake up. |

User questions & answers
Question: | This was ordered for me and came with two cables. One works with the keyboard, but the other one? I need to recharge my mouse, what do I need |
Answer: | Yes, there are two cables. one is a Unifying receiver extender in case your keyboard and mouse are our of range or your signal is bad because of interference, it is a USB male to female. The other cable is the one you want it is a USB male to Micro male charging cable. To charge the mouse you insert the cable on a SLIGHT angle, it does not go straight in. When you are looking at the mouse the charging cable will be slightly up. Once you do it the first time you will get a feel for it. |
Question: | What color is the illumination on the mx800 keyboard |
Answer: | It's white. It is also motion sensing and illuminates when your fingers get real close to it and fades out when you're done typing. I'm so glad I bought this one. |
Question: | Is there a "Num Lock" light |
Answer: | When the Num Lock is clicked, a notification at the bottom of you screen will indicate it is either on or off. SInce my whole background lights up on this particular Logitech, there is no light on it. |
Question: | This item as a combo is $157.99. They are separately (Mouse MX for $67.39 and K800 $64.99) $132.38. Why |
Answer: | The MX800 combo contains the K800 keyboard and the Performance Mouse MX. These two items are available separately, and could be less expensive as separate items. No idea why they are frequently less expensive as separate items here. There was a response that purchased separately requires TWO USB ports to be used, and this isn't true. The devices use Logitech's Unifying technology and will only require a single USB port for 1 transceiver. You will have two transceivers, so, treat one as a spare. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work with a 2019 iPad |
Answer: | Great question, but sadly no. The MK470 uses a USB receiver and has no Bluetooth, therefore cannot be used together with an iPad. You might want to check out our K380, K480 and K780 keyboards, or if your iPad is compatible then opt for a Folio like the Combo Folio or Touch Folio. |
Question: | What does the back of the keyboard look like? Does the part that raises it just two little feet on either side or is it a solid bar across the back |
Answer: | It has a solid bar. The keyboard is quite solid and heavy, typing experience is very good. |
Question: | Has anyone found a manual or know how to turn off F1-F12 function setting so I can use the volume buttons |
Answer: | You just hold down the Fn key and then press the function key that has the media control you want. For example, if you want to turn the volume down and volume down is (I think) on F5, you would hold down Fn and press F5. |
Question: | does this work with Mac or only windows |
Answer: | Awesome question, it's Windows only. |

User questions & answers
Question: | does it work with mac |
Answer: | No! The package and Logitech's website do not mention MAC OS X, only Windows and Chrome. However, the M310 mouse does work with MAC OS X. The Logitech driver for their USB-based receiver is misleading because it mentions mouse and keyboard, but not the MK520 packaged with the mouse. |
Question: | does it work with linux |
Answer: | I've tried this set on Windows 7, Linux Ubuntu 14.04, and Linux Mint 17.1. It definitely works great on windows. It seemed to work okay on Ubuntu Unity, but I was only using Ubuntu Unity for about a week before I switched to Linux Mint. In Linux mint I started noticing some keyboard lag. It could lag as much as 5 or 6 seconds at times which makes it impossible to use effectively. I ended up switching to a different keyboard. |
Question: | I have a Samsung smart TV and will this be compatable? I take it that there is a receiver that you plug into the usb port and the TV will pick it up |
Answer: | Yes it will work with a Samsung Smart TV. In fact I have Samsung Smart TV and it works perfectly. You use the same unifying USB transmitter that you would use on the computer. Just plug it into the USB port on the TV and it recognizes the USB transmitter automatically. |
Question: | The distance between the TV and my sofa from where I want to use the key board / mouse is about 15 ft. Will this work from 15 ft away |
Answer: | I have just now tested the keyboard and mouse at a measured 21 feet away from the front of my computer (the receiver is plugged into a USB port on the back of the computer) and both functioned correctly. I also checked performance on a book shelf 20 feet away with the keyboard and mouse at 90 degrees from the computer and out of line of site where the signal would have to also pass through ¾ inch of wood and neither functioned. Do note that all such RF (Radio Frequency) devices loose signal over distance. Hope this helped and enjoy you're your new keyboard and mouse. |
