Answer:	I have mine set to raid 1 in Windows 10, which works just fine. If your switches are set correctly and you still can't achieve raid 0 or span, then I suspect you have a defective unit, which should be replaced.

Answer:	You can start with one drive and add a second at a later date. If JBOD BIG mode only applies to the second drive, I don't know why that would be any problem.
Question:	Does it support 2 Western Digital VelociRaptor 2.5 600GB WD6000BLHX
Answer:	The box should support these drives fine. That's answer to your question but I offer a bit of advice. If you're going to use as RAID, you really need the "enterprise" level drives- Western Digital put out a white paper about that but I can't locate it right now; it says the "enterprise" level drives are built especially for RAID, but especially the "green" drives made for personal computers have special technology that makes them better in personal computers but extra slow in RAID. The following site casts doubt on whether you get an additional performance out of the 10,000 rpm speed of these velociraptors: http://www.zdnet.com/blog/hardware/western-digital-velociraptor-plenty-of-bark-not-enough-bite/2118. Also if you will use any RAID on a Mac network, always let the box set them up as just JBOD, and then use Mac OS's Disk Utilities to set up and maintain the RAID array; if you let the box's internal chip set up the RAID array you will often encounter problems with searching on the drives by Mac computers being prohibitively slow. But using Disk Utilities to establish the RAID works GREAT! Good luck!

Answer:	Should have no issue. I am using a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250 GB and is about 6mm thick. When I slot it in there is plenty of space to accommodate 7mm easily.

Answer:	It came with necessary hardware (screws and a very small phillips-head screw driver), an eSATA cable with associated USB power cable, a Fast USB 3.0 cable that is only about 8 inches long, and clear insturctions. Place a drive to be cloned into the center. Clone it. Then store it in the bottom not hooked up bay. In case of failure just put the spare in the online slot. Back up in seconds not hours or days.

Answer:	The SATDOCK4U 4-bay docking station will support Seagate archive 8TB except that the power supply is limited to 6.5 amp and the ST8000AS0002 requires 2 amps to spin up. So with the factory power supply I found I could run only 3 of the 8TB drives at one time. However I was able to find a larger 12 volt supply and then got four 8TB drives to work. See my review.
