1. Unpack the adapter and the new hard drive

2. Remove the plastic spacer inside of the adapter by pushing on its side tab

3. Release the screws on both sides of the adapter they clear the opening

4. Insert the drive into the adapter at an angle until the connectors lock

5. Snap the plastic spacer back in place

6. Tighten the side screws to secure the drive

7. Slide the assembly into the optical drive bay until it locks into place
