Answer:	I carefully freed the heat sensor wire from the two clips holding the wire close to the side of the Rosewill case. Then, using the tape strip provided by Rosewill, I taped the end of the sensor wire to the flat metal plate of the disk drive. I positioned the end of the sensor wire as follows: half way from the disk’s short edge, and about a third of the way from the disk’s long edge. (The sensor wire isn’t long enough to reach the middle of the disk’s long edge). Works great!

Answer:	100% compatible with Windows 10. I have already used it to format drives, create and store back ups.

Answer:	The dock will open unless you fasten the hinged part, too. Even then, I wouldn't recommend hanging it upside down. There hard drive is not secured into the plastic.

Answer:	It's temperature controlled, fan runs very quietly, although it might spin faster and make more noise if the drive gets really hot - mine never does, I don't use it long enough to find out - just do data file back ups and system images, so I don't have it running more than an hour or so at the most.

HOW TO INSTALL？

1. Loosen the screws at the bottom of the ssd enclosure.
2. Remove the upper cover of the cooling fan.
3. Insert the m.2 ssd interface of the SSD into the slot.
4. Press the silicone screw into the hole of the case.
5. Replace the upper cover of the cooling fan.
6. Tighten the screws at the bottom of the ssd enclosure.

Attention:

• It is normal that there will be a little damping when the upper cover is installed for the first time. To ensure the pre installed heat sink work, it must be in full contact with the SSD.
• Not Compatible with M.2 PCIe AHCI SSDs, M.2 PCIe devices such as WiFi and capture cards, mSATA SSDs, and non-M.2 form factor SSDs such as MacBook original SSD.
• All new SSD must be formatted before use under disk management. If want to work on both M/A/C OS and Windows OS, please format it to EXFAT.
• Because of the nvme SSD fast transmission speed, it will generate more heat. The built-in fan can help to dissipate heat quickly and ensure its normal operation. However, the temperature is usually around 113 ℉. Therefore, the heat of the product is normal during high-speed transmission.

Why did the ssd not be found by the system？

• After installed, If you haven't used your SSD yet, it may not be recognized, please format it first under disk management, then it can be used normally.
• If want to work on both Mac and Windows OS, please format it to EXFAT.

Why did the ssd case not up to standard read/write speed？

• The actual read-write speed depends on the performance of your SSD.
• If you dont connect to the interface of USB 3.1 GEN2 standard, whatever type-c or USB interface, it will not be able to up to 1000MB/s read/write speed.
• If you connect to the correct interface, this case will support 1000MB/s read/write of the Large file transfer.

What kind of the ssd can be used in this case?

Answer:	The depth of the shelves are 10.3" which may not accommodate a printer. Check the dimensions photo for all sizes. The desk is wonderful though. It's well made and functional.
