Answer:	Only the screen output

Answer:	Technically speaking, the cable's quality can only limit how far the upper limit can go; in other words, the cable doesn't limit how low or anything in between. And typically any HDMI cable you could find nowadays at least support 1920*1200. So anything in between is no problem. If your monitor's native resolution is 1680x1050, and you want to use this resolution, make sure your graphic card, which will handle the output, supports this resolution though. *But again any graphic card you can find nowadays can do 1080P (except those old chips found in purposely built devices such as server KVM stuff and so on), so it should be fine provided that proper graphic driver has been installed :)

Answer:	Yes, Perfectly satisfy your needs.

Answer:	In my personal experience, the cable itself doesn't play much in this situation, any crap hdmi cable could do that. The bigger issue is to confirm the two devices on both ends are capable of outputting and inputting the resolution. (for example, older HDMI devices might support up to 1920*1200 only, etc..) If the outputting device can output 2560x1600 on HDMI or DVI, and the other device can accept 2560*1600 on DVI or HDMI, then the cable should work fine. Also be aware of the audio part. (HDMI devices usually support audio, but many DVI devices don't have audio)

Answer:	YES, IT CAN!!! But, you must have a compatible graphics card and the proper HD Audio drivers. For example, I am using a generic (EVI I think) GeForce 520 Video card with dual DVI outputs. This is on an HP 8200 Elite Mid tower PC with an Intel i5 processor. By loading the RealTek High Definition Audio drivers, I get the HD Audio fed from the video card to my Sharp 60" HDTV. This is not a high end video card, nor is it a "new" PC, but it works GREAT!!!
