Answer:	Hi, I have not tried this on an android so I can't say for sure. The one thing to keep in mind is that you need a full size usb port, and not a mini port, which most androids I've seen have. If the android has a full size usb port, I can't think why it wouldn't work, its a great product.

The question should be rather how your laptop USB3 is connected internally and if that might limit the speed or not. I am using it connected to a laptop USB-C port (kind-of-USB3) and remote desktop to that laptop from my desktop with three 2K monitors. Watching a demanding video stream is probably a good test for the speed of the remote desktop and its network connection.
