Answer:	Not sure what a 720237-001 cable is but this cable is the 4 pin data cable if your other cable covers the whole hard drive it is a combo cable with power and data in the same plug usually many times wider than this 4 pin data cable. this cable works an all SATA hard drives for (4 pin) data transfer.

Answer:	It can carry up to 6Gbps. But if your ssd is only SATAII, then it will run at that speed. Simply using a faster cable won't increase the speed.

Answer:	Normally, the 90 degree end goes to HD or SSD. On the motherboard, SATA connectors are placed close together making use of the 90 degree end limited, but possible.
Question:	Just bought a samsung 850 evo 1tb 2.5-inch sata iii internal ssd for my gaming tower, should i buy the straight or 90 degree angle cables? thanks
Answer:	If you are planning to install the solid state drive with the sata connector facing one of the side panels then you probably want a 90 degree because a straight will have trouble making that bend. A lot of newer cases have alternative mounting places where a 90 degree angle cable wouldn't work. Basically it depends where the drive is mounted.
Question:	What is the difference between Right 90 or Left 90? when it comes to applying 2ND hard drive for PC Backup only
Answer:	This would depend on how you are mounting the drive - if it would be in the case, then if it's mounted to the left or right (long-ways on the motherboard connection) is how you would determine which 'bend' you want. If you are mounting externally, then you would want the bend to work out so that the drive would not be upside down.
Question:	Is this all i need for a hardrive? Cable wise
Answer:	Depends. Is it an internal hard drive or external? These cables are for internal mounted SATA hard drives & SSD's (Solid State Drives). If your drive is internal, you will also need to power the drive from the power supply (PSU), so make sure you have an extra hard drive power cable coming from your PSU; it can be either the old style bigger 4 wire kind or the newer SATA power connector, unless your hard drive only has the new power supply connector (it looks like the end of these connectors, except it is a little wider). Smaller 2.5" drives (laptop size drives) usually only have the SATA type power connector; and the older 4 pin connectors are probably being phased out, though they are not extinct yet. These cables work for SATA I, II & III; the difference between I, II, & III is speed: I maxes at 1.5 Gb/s. II at 3Gb/s, III at 6Gb/s; both the HD and the motherboard SATA types will be rated at one of these three speeds. It is best to match speeds, but not absolutely necessary; mismatched speeds will work (they just won't be as efficient - e.g. hooking a SATA III drive to a SATA II mobo slot will work, but the potential max data transfer speed will be limited by the slower connector.. theoretically). Make sure your HD is SATA (I, II or III) - not eSATA (external SATA) USB, Firewire, TB (thunderbolt) or any of the newer formats like SATA express, PCI express or M.2 (if it is not an SSD, you can probably rule out the new formats). Well, you need to make sure you have an extra H.D. power connecter coming from your power supply (and your power supply needs to supply enough wattage to run everything in your system - a basic system with few internal peripherals can run on a P.S.U rated at 300 - 500 watts; if you have e.g. 6 hard drives, two high power graphics cards and an energy consuming CPU, you would need a P.S.U. rated higher - 650 - 1000 watts). There are also new SATA express PCI express and NVE M.2 Solid State Drives that mount directly in a slot on a motherboard - the PCI express and M.2 types don't usually need an extra power source but the motherboard has to have that kind of slot. It's a little like a PCIex1 slot, but not exactly. If you have a solid state drive and it looks a bit like a memory strip or a small video card, then it is some form of PCI express or M.2. If it looks like a laptop or desktop drive, it is most likely SATA, unless it is over 5 - 7 years old.. then it could be IDE (the older type that has a long data connector with a bunch of pins).

Question:	I have a 1tb external hard drive, usb to esata. will this work instead of thay usb cable on the end of also powering the drive
Answer:	No. This is E-Sata to E-Sata. If your drive has an E-Sata port, it will work, but not provide power.
Question:	What is the difference between sata and esata
Answer:	Basicly the "e" stands for external. You will find esata ports on the back of your computer and on some external drives. This lets your external drive operate at the same speed as it would as an internal drive. I use mine for an external drive adapter that lets me use cheaper internal drives externally for the purpose of backups. Note that esata and sata cables are not interchangeable.
Question:	Will this work to connect a sata hard drive to my esata connector on my motherboard
Answer:	It will connect your motherboard's eSATA to a bare drive (one not in an enclosure, unless it's an old enclosure with a SATA connector). However, your drive will need power. Answer:	The answer is that it depends on how you will be attaching an external drive. I took a look at the specs for the swann NVR8-7400 on Swaan's site, and it states the NVR8-7400 has an eSATA port. So, if you buy an external drive enclosure that has an external SATA port (NOT eSATA), then yes, this cable will work. However, most enclosures at present use the more appropriate eSATA port for external SATA connectivity. If this is the case, then you would need an eSATA to eSATA cable, such as B00V6QA282.

Question:	Can this be used on a 250 gb serial ata hard drive
Answer:	Every answer here is not helpful. NO, your hard drive will NOT work if it is the average 3.5" desktop drive. Your HDD/SSD will only work if it draws less than the the USB port you are plugging this in to can provide. It is as much dependent on the port as the cable. If the port is spec, it can provide up to 1000mA of power, most desktop drives are going to require much more than that (1.25 - 2x as much).
Question:	Does this adapter support trim
Answer:	TRIM is something that is specific to the SSD hard drive. This item is merely a USB adapter to SATA cable and would not have any impact or relevance to TRIM of the SSD that you are trying to connect.
Question:	Is this compatible with the Samsung PCIe NVMe 960 Pro SSD
Answer:	Not that I am aware of.
