When doing output to the computer for a digital conversion, the VCR thinks it's playing the movie for viewing. The signal is going through the same output. Answer:	This is a monitor only there is no hard drive or cpu or ram. No computer. It's just a monitor. However as far a monitors go it is amazingly good. It's crisp the touch is Responsive and precise. The colors are vibrant. Multi touch works perfectly. It can be moved in many ways and angles. Better than others I compared it to. I have 6 children 3 of which are 7 years old the are hard on hardware. Very hard on hardware. They use dirty hands, wet fingers and they fight over it constantly. This monitor is rugged. I have personally owned over fifty monitors in the past 25 years for my home and even more for my businesses. Viewsonic have had winners and losers. This is a winner. I would have no problem buying another in a heart beat. I have owned this particular monitor for 9 months and it is as strong today as when I first opened the package. It has speakers which are fairly good speakers as far as integrated monitors go but let's be honest they are integrated with the monitor. Oh one more thing this monitor is used approximately 7 hours a day and it is allowed to just go to sleep at other times.
