Answer:	Hello there well what I can tell you about the camera is that , on the website for the camera it says weatherproof also which it says it means that it's just pertaining to temperature, I have one which is working just fine so far but it's underneath a roof so if it had gotten wet in the rain so far its just gotten sprinkled on still works fine . I guess I would suggestion is to try to keep it out of the rain is best you can . Because what the website tells you about it, and Amazon tells you about it are two different things . The website says that particular camera has only 36 lead infrared lights which is wrong it has 42 and also on the website it says it has a 3.6 mm lens on it and Amazon says it has I think 4.5 mm lens so the cameras website is definitely wrong Amazon is the most accurate check it out your self. You will see what I'm talking about .. So to sum up the answer to your question is try your best not to get it wet.. You could probably figure out a way to use it with your Comcast box, but you would get almost no functionality. There are some nice DVR boxes out there for surveillance cameras if you're interested in going that route.
