But if you want the speaker to face in the same direction as the mount I think you could get away with clamping it on the sides. They screw down very tight and have a very strong grip.
Question:	are these good to serve as regular bookshelf speakers¬ just for surround sound considering frequency range is 40 to 40,000Hz? subwoofer for lows
Answer:	I have them set as side surrounds and really like their sound. These are bipole speakers so they really widen the sound stage. I would not use these as main L and R simply because they could mix and reduce the stereo effect. However, if you use them as stereo speakers and mount them on the sides of your listening area as opposed to the front, I think you would like it. Just remember that if you want to be true to whatever you are listening to, you should look at the studio monitor 65 or mythos gem or gem xl. All by definitive Tech. Answer:	I have the Definitive Technology BP 9040’s sitting on two Pangea 36” speaker stands with no issues, so yes, they can sit on speaker stands with at least a 6”x6” top plate and some rubber pads, bumpers, etc, for isolation. In addition, the rear slot allows for the use of other types of mounting options if one is considering other speaker stand designs. It’s a very versatile speaker regarding placement options.

Answer:	It will run either way...if it is playing a long period of time I do plug it in...it will go for several hours unplugged with full charge. Lovin my speaker....great bass!

It is sturdy. My remote does not work and, the buttons on the rear of the table are so tiny I have to refer to the manual each time to see what they are for. other wise I really like the piece.
