I suspect that Nuance thought this microphone was so special that they could use it to force people to purchase the Dragon Medical product so they limited the programmable buttons to the medical product line and basically sacrificed sales. Having said that, in my opinion, this microphone is overprice and falls short of being ideally suited to Dragon. I recommend contacting me directly at (615) 884-4558 x1 for additional information. For example, the Philips LFH-3500 and the new Grundig SonicMic 3 include programmable buttons but are more accurate, include a number of additional perks and can be used over a distance. Answer:	It should automatically recognize it. Make sure you have the USB cable connected to the correct port on the base station -not the 5 V DC port. Make sure Dragon is closed when you connect it. Takes a bit of trial and error with restarting the software to get it to work.

Answer:	it is plug and play. its just a mic and a speaker. you might want to check your chipset or board drivers. i have used them with win7 and win10 without any issues.

Answer:	I have this Mic and it works with the Medical Version and it works perfectly fine. I believe the profesional version is cheaper than the medical version i don't think you would have any issues with it.

Question:	Does this come loaded on a thumb drive I don’t have optical disk readers on any of my machines
Answer:	Either way. You can buy it alone or packaged with a microphone. Take a look at Amazon. I'm pretty sure you can only get it bundled with the Power Mic (also made by Nuance). As I recall the price was about the same either way. I bought mine without the microphone because I hoped to use the older version of the Power Mic that I already had, but it doesn't work well. Get the latest Power Mic.
Question:	I am wondering if this product comes with any maintenance from nuance (i.e. updates and support
Answer:	The current license for DNS Medical Practice is 1 user, 1 license and up to 4 computers. I’ve created 4 users on the same computer. I don’t know if will allow me to create more users profile.
