Then get a 3.5mm male to male wire and connect it to the computer/laptop's speaker out port. Then put the other end in the microphone input on your xbox splitter. I assume you know that you need a 3.5mm Y splitter for your xbox controller so that you have two female openings, one for mic one for headphones. Answer:	From what I've heard, the snowball does actually sound quite reasonably better. I suppose it'll have to be because of a number of reasons, 1 being that there's a $10-20 diffrence, and that this is marketed as a "Skype mic." I also believe that the blue snowball has wider diversity in colour. The blue snowball also features 3 different "modes" or polar patterns.First being a cardiod setting, a standard pickup pattern in most condenser mics, very handy. Mainly picks out sound in a heart shaped radius in front of the mic. Second setting is a cardiod, 10db pad. Good for loud sources, getting up close to the talent. The third and final setting is the omnidirectional setting. "Omni" meaning more than one, in this instance more than one direction. In this setting, the mic will pic up sound from all directions.doing so will loose some sound quality but maybe useful for recording a board meeting. Overall the blue snowball iCE is a great, compact usb microphone, for the tight budget market, or in other words a blue snowball, minus a few features and cheaper sound quality.

Answer:	Just run to a Best Buy or jump on Amazon to find a micro-USB cord. It's universal, therefore you don't have to use the one that came with it and they are pretty inexpensive. You could even use the one that came with your smartphone (depending upon what kind of phone you have).
Question:	Could this work as a gaming microphone
Answer:	I use it for Dragon dictation. The mic is great for that purpose, but it's sensitive to external sound sources so I'm not sure it would work with speakers your playing game audio. If you do try it, play around with volume settings to get it right as sometimes too high or low volume affects recognition of commands.

How can I do when the microphone cannot be used? Few ways for troubleshooting:

• A.You need to disable the computer's onboard mic by accessing your sound devices in the hardware section of the control panel. And choose the mic (JV601)
• B.Check whether the "mic mute" of the online control is open or not. When the "mic mute" is open, the light will turn to red.
