Operating Tips:

• To ensure accurate speed readings, be sure to keep your target's direction of travel in a direct line with the speed gun, and not perpendicular.
• The Velocity Speed Gun will measure the relative speed of a target as it moves towards or away from the Speed Gun. If the target is in a direct line, the measured speed will be accurate within +/- 1 mph.
• If you move either right or left of the target, the displayed speed readings will become progressively less accurate, with the indicated speed decreasing as you move off this centerline. This happens due to the "Cosine Effect", common to all Doppler based radar devices.
• Be sure to use only fresh, alkaline "C" batteries in the Velocity Speed Gun, both inserted positive (tip) end first, with the negative end of each battery facing you (towards the battery cover).

Answer:	You are not gonna hide the spiral stretch wire very easily. If you use hard wire kit and it's mounted up high on the windshield then you can run the wire under the edge of the trim and to the fuse panel. That's what I did.
Question:	Can i simply plug this into a cig lighter to usb adapter and use my car's usb port to power it
Answer:	Standard USB ports only deliver around 5 volts. Most detectors need 12 volts, which is what the cigarette lighter socket supplies.
Question:	Why it’s not notifying me when there’s a cop close to me every time
Answer:	As the other gentleman said, it's a radar detector, not a cop detector. It will only go off when you detect a police officer using his radar gun. Whether hand-held or the stationery type that operate as the police car is stopped or even driving. But when an officer isn't actually doing speed checks, they often turn the radar unit off. Even then, not all police cars are equipped with radar. A lot of police agencies may only have less than 10% of their units equipped with radar.

A1:After a while the screen shuts off during recording, which is a normal phenomenon named screensaver mode and you needn’t to worry about it.

A3: If you connect the cam to computer via USB cable, the screen will read Mass storage and PC camera. You could choose Mass storage

and the cam will be read as an external storage device and you can choose to playback on computer

or just transfer the recordings to your computer.

I would set it up to hit the car down the road a bit at the point it lines up straight (if that makes sense 🤷‍♀️) For instance if you road is curvy, you have the radar on the sidewalk, and a block or so up it curves back your way, at that point it could line up for a bit.

Answer:	Yes, but the gun needs to be placed parallel to the ball (oncoming or going away). It will not work with the gun perpendicular to the ball. If you notice in major league baseball, the gun is directly behind the catcher and it is measuring the speed from the mound to home plate.

Question:	Which one is better? I'm debating either to get the Escort 9500ix or Passport Max 2. Which one would you guys recommend
Answer:	This is a great question. There are several different models of Pocket Radar brand products that all make measurements very differently. Each one has technology that is specifically optimized for their intended use. The Classic model makes an instantaneous speed measurement when you TAP the red button or it makes repeating measurements every 3/4 of a second for measuring acceleration on things like cars and runners. While this is great for measuring things that are in motion for several seconds or more, this is not the best choice for ball sports. The reason is that any ball in flight slows down rapidly due to air resistance. For instance, a baseball in only in the air for about 1/2 second and it will slow down by 8 MPH from the pitcher to the catcher. So it might be 80 MPH at the release point but it is only 72 MPH at the plate. A tennis ball will slow down by over 20 MPH from the racket to the bounce. Since the Classic was not specifically designed to always capture the top speed of the ball at the release point, it requires very precise hand-eye coordination to be able to TAP the button at just the right point in time. While there are people that have figured out how to get the timing down just right it can be very challenging, and even then they will tell you that they will often miss a speed if they are not concentrating on just the right timing. Most people tend to just hold the button down in which case a pitch will start and stop in a shorter time than the ¾ second repeating interval. Then they wonder why they do not get consistent readings on a baseball. This is why we developed our Ball Coach model specifically for ball sports. The Ball Coach radar (also available on Amazon), adds a lot more technology to make a very different measurement to automatically capture the fastest speed of the ball right at the release point. All you do is hold the button down and it tracks the ball in flight and always reports the fastest speed. This way you never have to wonder whether you got the top speed or got the timing right on the button like you would have to with the Classic model. We have designed multiple models to make it very simple and easy for customers to find the one that is right for their application and also make it very simple to use in each specific case. The Ball Coach radar also adds a lot more features for ball sports, like a Constant-On mode with Auto-Trigger and the ability to measure the power of a hit by measuring ball exit velocity. Question:	Which is better this one or the escort 360 radar?? Thinking about getting one of them whichever is better
Answer:	This is a very good question that comes up a lot. You should not try to use any radar gun designed to measure a pitch to measure bat swing speed. That said, radar can be a great tool for measuring the power of your hits by measuring Ball Exit Speed off the bat. While it is important to have good bat swing speed, this does not really tell you much since you also must deliver the energy from the bat at precisely the right time and point on the bat to get the power into the hit. For instance, you can swing a broom stick very fast, but you will not deliver much power on a ball with it. However, measuring Ball Exit Speed off the bat always gives you a direct measure of the power of a hit. If you use Ball Exit Speed in your hitting training you can see direct results of your training adding more power to your hits. For every extra 1 MPH you can increase your Ball Exit Speed off the bat, you will add about 5 feet of extra distance to a well hit ball. It is designed for things that are in motion for several seconds or more like vehicles and runners. Answer:	It probably can. In my case I had to make some small changes to measure an ass that big.
