Question:	Any Solo S3 users who previously owned the Solo S2? Is the S3 noticeably better than the S2? My trusty old S2 still works great
Answer:	My S2 was stolen so I replaced it with an S3. The case and display of the S3 is nicer looking than the S2, but they seem to function identical. I got tired of switching the S3 from car to car so I decided to purchase a refurbished S2. No regrets. If you like the black body and higher resolution of the S3 it might be worth the switch, but I can't say you'll get a better functioning unit. They seem to work the same, to me anyway.
Question:	Does this have a headphone jack
Answer:	The cordless escort solo 3 . does have a hole on the side that looks like it would except ear buds. No little headphone symbol though. Never tried it. Have owned for four months plus. Gone through three battery changes. Saved me four times for sure and multiple close calls. Highly recommend. Good luck

Question:	Does it dectect red light cameras
Answer:	No it does not detect red light cameras. It detects most forms of radar except the most modern, like Proline, that shoot a radar beam about the size of a softball. Really no detectors pick those unless the detection is whole car or happens to be place where the softball sized beam is pointed. In Florida where I live police are not using the newest forms of radar, so it works fine and has never missed a detection here. But when I was in Atlanta October 2014, I got a ticket from a cop using in Proline radar gun.

Answer:	Yes. Radar uses radio waves which bounce around the environment causing all radar detectors to detect radar in 360° (just as your radio detects radio stations in 360°). Detectors that use "360" in their name have arrows which point to the radar source. The RAD 450 does not have directional arrows. RAD 450 does have an IVT Filter. It filters out many radar based vehicle safety systems.

Answer:	You are not gonna hide the spiral stretch wire very easily. If you use hard wire kit and it's mounted up high on the windshield then you can run the wire under the edge of the trim and to the fuse panel. That's what I did.
Question:	Can i simply plug this into a cig lighter to usb adapter and use my car's usb port to power it
Answer:	Standard USB ports only deliver around 5 volts. Most detectors need 12 volts, which is what the cigarette lighter socket supplies.
Question:	Why it’s not notifying me when there’s a cop close to me every time
Answer:	As the other gentleman said, it's a radar detector, not a cop detector. It will only go off when you detect a police officer using his radar gun. Whether hand-held or the stationery type that operate as the police car is stopped or even driving. But when an officer isn't actually doing speed checks, they often turn the radar unit off. Even then, not all police cars are equipped with radar. A lot of police agencies may only have less than 10% of their units equipped with radar.

Question:	How does radar detector work and does it gave a lot of false alert in California
Answer:	The specifics on how a radar detector works can get pretty complicated, but to put it as simply as possible, there is a "horn" inside the device that will condense radar signals so they can be detected. if it is in a band ( a portion of the Electro-magnetic spectrum) the detector will make a tone. It's important to note that this will only detect radar and not police vehicles, they must be actively using their radar for it to detect. The amount of false alerts you get are going to depend on your settings
Question:	It says it comes with gps. How does that work? What are the pros? Cons or annoyance
Answer:	The detector has a built-in GPS so that you can lock out faults radar sources and the detector will remember them. You can lock out up to 100 faults alert locations. It also has a red light camera and speed trap location database. Based on your GPS location the radar detector will warn you of these locations and I see no downside to having the built-in GPS. I just drove from Michigan to Missouri and back and in states that use the red light cameras it worked perfectly .

Question:	Which one is better? I'm debating either to get the Escort 9500ix or Passport Max 2. Which one would you guys recommend
Answer:	This is a great question. There are several different models of Pocket Radar brand products that all make measurements very differently. Each one has technology that is specifically optimized for their intended use. The Classic model makes an instantaneous speed measurement when you TAP the red button or it makes repeating measurements every 3/4 of a second for measuring acceleration on things like cars and runners. While this is great for measuring things that are in motion for several seconds or more, this is not the best choice for ball sports. The reason is that any ball in flight slows down rapidly due to air resistance. For instance, a baseball in only in the air for about 1/2 second and it will slow down by 8 MPH from the pitcher to the catcher. So it might be 80 MPH at the release point but it is only 72 MPH at the plate. A tennis ball will slow down by over 20 MPH from the racket to the bounce. Since the Classic was not specifically designed to always capture the top speed of the ball at the release point, it requires very precise hand-eye coordination to be able to TAP the button at just the right point in time. While there are people that have figured out how to get the timing down just right it can be very challenging, and even then they will tell you that they will often miss a speed if they are not concentrating on just the right timing. Most people tend to just hold the button down in which case a pitch will start and stop in a shorter time than the ¾ second repeating interval. Then they wonder why they do not get consistent readings on a baseball. This is why we developed our Ball Coach model specifically for ball sports. The Ball Coach radar (also available on Amazon), adds a lot more technology to make a very different measurement to automatically capture the fastest speed of the ball right at the release point. All you do is hold the button down and it tracks the ball in flight and always reports the fastest speed. This way you never have to wonder whether you got the top speed or got the timing right on the button like you would have to with the Classic model. We have designed multiple models to make it very simple and easy for customers to find the one that is right for their application and also make it very simple to use in each specific case. The Ball Coach radar also adds a lot more features for ball sports, like a Constant-On mode with Auto-Trigger and the ability to measure the power of a hit by measuring ball exit velocity. Answer:	This is a very good question that comes up a lot. You should not try to use any radar gun designed to measure a pitch to measure bat swing speed. That said, radar can be a great tool for measuring the power of your hits by measuring Ball Exit Speed off the bat. If you use Ball Exit Speed in your hitting training you can see direct results of your training adding more power to your hits. For every extra 1 MPH you can increase your Ball Exit Speed off the bat, you will add about 5 feet of extra distance to a well hit ball. Answer:	Hi! There is not a visor clip made for this unit. What I would do is go to Hobby Lobby and buy a magnet the size where the original bracket mounting fits. Then I would go on Ebay and look under radar mounts and find one that fits on a visor. Take the magnet and use super glue and glue the magnet to the mount. You may have to do some modifications but it will work. If I have time I could make you one. This should work for you. It is an easy fix.
