Answer:	Yes. Radar uses radio waves which bounce around the environment causing all radar detectors to detect radar in 360° (just as your radio detects radio stations in 360°). Detectors that use "360" in their name have arrows which point to the radar source. The RAD 450 does not have directional arrows. RAD 450 does have an IVT Filter. It filters out many radar based vehicle safety systems.

Answer:	The range on the xrs9470 is 1.33 miles it's basically the same range as the passport 9500ix I own both detectors the 9500 goes off less then a half second before the xrs9470 I use the passport more because I like the expert mode which lets the radar track multiple threats the cobra does not sometimes if the detector is getting a weak ka signal and a strong k signal it will throw the ka out thinking it's false and you'll only get the k I don't like that the expert mode has saved me many times cops around me like to sit in store parking lots to try and hide there signal sort of speak but as far as range goes I was doing 120 in a 45 and had more than enough time to slow down with the cobra and I'm talking slowing down normal not jamming on the brakes

Installation Steps:

Step 1: Connect the Red Wire of the Hardwire Kit with one type of Fuse Taps that your vehicle requires.

Step 2: Locate the Fuse Box and find an ACC Fuse Slot in it. ACC Fuse Slot only has power when the ignition is on.

Step 3: Remove the original Fuse in the ACC Fuse Slot and install it into the Bottom Slots of the Fuse Tap. Insert the same size of Fuse we provided into the Top Slots of the Fuse Tap.

Step 4: Connect the Red Wire of the Hardwire Kit to the positive terminal of the ACC Fuse Slot in the Fuse Box.

Step 5: Crimp the Black Wire and screw it down to any non-coated metal bolt/screw in your vehicle to ground it.

Step 6: Connect the RJ-11 "telephone style" jack of the Hardwire Kit to the RJ11 input of your Radar Detector, and then the installation is completed.

Answer:	No this detector will not hide you from VG2 guns. It will let you know where police are using VG2 guns which is pretty accurate. There is a feature to block police from detecting if you have a radar detector in your car which the manual recommends not using but I used it in South Carolina and Virginia this passed weekend and it worked great. It save me from two tickets where the police rode up behind me in unmarked cars.

Answer:	There are in the 6x8 openings for my Ford pickup. I think that the 5x7 and 6x8 installation does work for both. Not sure how though. I would more be concerned that you should pay a tiny bit... even $5 to $15 more and go with another model. I have had mine in and I have them hooked to a simple Pioneer stereo with Subwoofers powered by a separate subwoofer and these speakers are horrible if i even come close to half volume power. This is from a decent stereo head unit. I want to thank you for asking me about these speakers because I have a road trip coming up next month and I keep forgetting that part of my to-do list is to rip these speakers out and replace them.

Answer:	I don't know if it works for ALL cobra radar detectors, but it definitely worked for my cobra radar detector. I don't have the model number for mine right off hand but it's the touch screen gps cobra radar detector. Sorry couldn't be more concise but hopefully still helpful.

Answer:	As of May 12, 2020, you said mac software available soon. It is now September 30, 2020 and your web site still only lists windows app for the Defender app. I've owned my 360 dual pro since December and I still can't update the unit? When is the Mac software going to be available?

Answer:	Detector Tools Pro is used for updating DualPro 360. It is available at Cobra.com under Support/Elite Software Downloads.
Question:	I just received it and it does not come with data cable to update software
Answer:	This is correct. The cable used is a common mini-USB cable. You probably have one from another device that you can use with it.

Answer:	Firmware updates are free. Defender camera database updates are free for 90 days after you register DualPro 360, then a subscription is required to continue to receive database updates. Defender subscriptions are available at Cobra.com.
